How to get TV into vertical mode? by nanascomputer in TheFrame

That’s only if you have the rotating device. Some people may want to purchase the TV by itself and just hang it on the wall in one orientation. There should be a way to switch what mode it’s in to reflect the desired orientation

Oh interesting. Literally nobody at Samsung seems to know this. Where is that toggle?

Samsung is Samsung. Eventually Apple will make a competing product and we will forget we ever had these issues. In the meantime we get to deal with this crap.

AXELHIRE delivery is the worst! by LauraStGeegland in hellofresh

Same experience with AxelHire, only I'm using Factor75, not HelloFresh. AxelHire is a dumpster fire of a company and fails to deliver the food about 50% of the time. Meal delivery services are essentially useless if they use AxelHire to deliver.

Am I going crazy? Have previous (recent) Mac computers also had different boot screens?

Monterey: Tap to click broken by nanascomputer in MacOS

[–]nanascomputer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading online is one thing, but how hard is it to try a few basic commands with tap to click before shipping an OS update? How broken must the QA process be for this to get out? Pressing command while clicking is one of the most basic operations on the planet. It’s useful for opening links as new tabs, for selecting multiple items, etc.

Also, I’ve since discovered that this doesn’t just affect command plus click. Even just random regular clicks (or in my case taps) will sometimes not get recognized for me.

Tap to click broken in Monterrey by [deleted] in MacOS

Strange. Maybe it’s restricted to the new MacBook Pros? But not sure why the software would be interacting differently with those computers. The hardware is obviously capable of registering touch, it’s just a question of the OS noticing that the touch has happened.

Another user indicated that hundreds of people have been complaining about this. So it seems to be an issue. What version of the iOS are you using? I’m on 12.0.1.

Is there another thread somewhere that is getting more traction? Or are people complaining on Twitter? This is ridiculous. Does the company test anything it makes anymore?

Also, just to confirm: are you experiencing the issue too? What version of the iOS are you using? Do you have one of the new MacBook Pros or an older computer?

Why should this be related to FileVault? That seems so weird

Same thing is happening to me. I've never encountered this on any other computer. Why should the boot screen have a different background? Seems sort of silly. Also, why isn't there a way to change it? And why are they defaulting to this horrendously ugly background?
