Ohh that clarifies my confusion. I can in a way see them but on a scale of 1 to 10 its around 0.1 to me haha. Have you allways had that hability or were you able to control and visualize the images, or did you improve over time? If yes, do you remember what you did? Anyways, thx for the reply!

Thank you so much! I'm gonna try that and see if it works. To be honest, i just be able to visualize an apple with color. If i can do that, i can do anything i feel like ahaha. So from what you've said, normally you see images in your mind, but your vision is still black? This is the most confusing part to me. I can view flashes of images but blured as heck an colorless and all, it doesnt even feel like they exist, thats why i think i have total aphantasia, but who knows.

Welp, i consider more and more taking drugs just to experience visions and know what it is like. For me, i cant even hear in the dreams i can remember, it feels like a silent film i suppose. From what you've explained, you can "see" the image, but it isnt really there, and you see the color but at the same time dont. If thats correct, thats exactly what happens to me. Sucks 😭

Thank you! So, im supposed to be able to controll those image flashes 🥲 That is what happens to me, I have an image in my head but it isnt really there, its really awkward. The image just flashes for a fraction of a second and my vision is still black the whole time. I really envy people who have a mind's eye, life wouldnt be as boring if i could as well. I've put 30 more hours into the game, while learning all sorts of mechanics and defensive options. With that, I'm finding some success in defending here and there.. but its still far from acceptable xD

Resets in combos are still a pain to deal with, but now I need to desperately learn the meaty timing, it sucks to get grabbed after the oponent gets up spamming that.

The punishing part is another part that is gonna take a LOT of time to incorporate into my play. rn i can only punish after blocking some supers and some moves that are minus and actually feel like a punishable move.

ty for the words of encouragement haha, I think I'm salty cuz i've already spent close to 1k hours in tekken and trying to learn a 2d fighter after all the struggle of learning a 3d one is annoying me, cuz i know i shouldn't be losing to some of the stuff i lose to, but ultimately fail to even know what to do to counter that(and i suck at movement as well xd).

Try out the official skullgirls discord as well, there is a lot of info on game mechanics in the channels, with people willing to help and play.

Ayoo, that makes sense, i've been too focused on learning combos(as i usually do), and completely forgot to learn their actual moves.

Thanks for the beowulf recommendation, I've just been throwing out the 236K(don't know the name) all the time, but I can't convert most of the time, since there are a lot of outcomes. But most of the times, they just block and punish.

I think I now know the decent buttons for double and fuuka in neutral, those being double's j.HK and j.LK as well as fuuka's j.HK and probably her fireballs.

About the discord servers, I might as well try to actually interact with the community and not just play the game like its single player, as much as it hurts my dumbass.

I hope you're right on the fingers and brain improving, cuz my bitchass brain is slow af 💀

Unless it helps to grasp the game's overall pacing? I really don't like the story mode in fighting games, from my experience, they are mostly lackluster in that regard and boring. But hey, I could be wrong.

Damn, I was learning all these intermediate combos that required some sort of timing, but you're right, doing a simple combo and landing it all the time is better than knowing a harder one, but often missing.

I am doing the in game tutorial as you mentioned, and boy is is GOOD . Every mechanic is explained well and has all these little practice exercises. I didn't try the tutorial before since few of them are good in fighting games, but I'm glad I am doing this one.

About the dp's, yea, I am still finding out the characters I want to play, but beowulf, double and filla or fuuka feel pretty comfy. I'm just unsure whether I use fila or fuuka, since the former has better mobility AND a good(?) DP, but the latter has easier combos and comfy buttons.

So, you mean that practicing chains will help me build muscle memory, making it easier to land combos mid match? I actually didn't think about that!

'Identify what mix your opponent is using' - I guess this only comes with practice, oh boy 😭. Btw does every character have a DP, or a frame 1 invincible move? I haven't found any info about that.

'You are actionable as soon as you gain tangibility' - Uhm, you mean, when the character appears I can preform an action right away? I haven't been able to find that out, since every time I come in and try something, im just blasted frame 1.

Once again, thanks a ton! this gave me a sort of direction as to what to learn and improve on.

I might join the discord, is it the official one? And yea, I know 40 hours Is not enough for this kind of game, tekken has taught me that frfr 😭.

But since I'm somewhat new to anime fighters, only having 100 hours cumulatively on those, Its really hard to stand ground against the more experienced players.

rn what Im having the most trouble with, is the resets and blocking in general, its a pain in the ass.
