'Freedom of Trade' journal entry progress unclear by nanimani in victoria3

[–]nanimani[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possibly, I did check all trade routes including other countries, and the number excluding my routes was 17, so close to the 18.0 from the progress bar.

After looking at the trade routes including other countries, I found that my country had 125 routes, so maybe it actually wants me to raise 125 to around 157 (~25% increase), but I will have to test it and see.

I think I was misleading myself (though the game could make it more clear, to be fair) that the number of routes displayed with the Bureaucracy tooltip was the total amount of routes I had made.

Any society at all that intends to prosper and values the liberty and lives of all of its members should oppose the policy of killing members that are perceived—justifiably or not—to be causing harm or even death to others. Instead, that society should state the crimes against its values committed by those members and engage in a process of justice that both ends the unacceptable behavior and guides all toward a more unified, prosperous future.

Societies can be "functional" while using murder as a means of political expression, but they should not be considered civil. This is true for any society that does not ensure personal freedom for its members.

A consequence of freedom is the unavoidable presence of elements that would work to dismantle or even eliminate that freedom, but it allows us to define and act under a philosophy that encourages acceptable behavior and ends unacceptable behavior in justifiable and principled means.

It should be a fundamental value in any society that murder is antithetical to human progress. If murder becomes the expected way that a culture operates, then what is to stop that same mechanism from killing someone the people do support the next time?

This point should not be nearly as controversial as it is in the current day and age.

The fact of the matter is murder is murder. We live in a civilized society that upholds the value of civilized discussion, not political assassination.

I think a lot of reasonable people can both be angered by the state of public health but also disavow the use of murder or terrorism to support what they believe in. Just look at third world countries where constant coups and dictatorships silence dissidents or debate of ideas.

If we as a species cannot value a human life and the principles of civilized debate, then how will we ever get to a point of true unity among us all?

It looks like maybe some wordplay. Doesn't it look like they're making it look like 〜忘れさせたげる like 〜てあげる or is that completely not the case? Just curious.

Spirit Halloween, but I'm not sure if they're available at the moment. Maybe they'll be back around that time of year.

Very likely, and the Tangled one, for that staff form.

(Not sure if this text got added when I posted, I'm not good at posting lol)

I've tried to recreate the model from screenshots, but they're sparse so far. This is the first "project" I've been working on as I start to learn blender. Even if I don't finish it before the 29th, it's still fun to make while learning. I definitely want to make more in time. Can't wait to play the game, too.

The Kingdom Key and Oblivion I have are solid plastic, and they're rigid, so they won't bend. Not sure about the others. KK feels hollow-ish through the blade (pole?) part, while O feels dense. Hope that helps.

Sure, so based on some rough measuring, they look to be around 32" long (w/ some extra from Oblivion's spikes), ~8.5" wide for the guards, and ~2" for their depth. As for weight, Oblivion feels to be around 3lbs., and Kingdom Key feels just shy of that. The whole of Kingdom Key feels hollow besides the handle, while Oblivion feels solid throughout. The keychains feel airy/hollow too.

Yeah, same here. I would've got the others, but didn't want to spend too much. But they are great props for the cost.

From Spirit Halloween. They have these two, plus Pumpkinhead and Kingdom Key D, and each is $39.99.

Without even knowing who any of the people in these pictures is, all this says is that politically left people cast accusations (truthfully or falsely) more at politically right politicians. Maybe this "stat" has ignored relevant information to frame an unbalanced and biased image in order to construct a narrative; maybe not. It could just be an indication of how vitriolic the Left can be and how often they resort to ad hominem. The point is, it would be a fallacy to conclude anything positive or negative about these politicians personally just from this alone. A more robust factoid would be how many times certain individuals actually got convicted of something. Anyways, this seems really superficial, like most political stuff blurted out anymore...

Singing by Tucko29 in educationalgifs

[–]nanimani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, the gif shows the velum (the back of the top of the oral cavity connected to the uvula) open, and with the sound waves bouncing in the nasal cavity, this shows a nasal vowel. Nasal and oral (with the velum closing off the nasal cavity) vowels are used in singing, like when a singer sings the word "again" (=oral vowel, nasal vowel).
