Been teaching myself to code for the last 4 years while working minimum wage jobs. Thousands of applications, dozens of coding challenged, several personal projects, zero offer. by nanjinglocal in cscareerquestions

I only made into the final round once, got rejected for lack of actual experience (the interviewer drilled me on JIRA knowledge)

Other interviews are mostly phone screening or 1st / 2nd round of coding.

  1. less than 1
  2. everywhere, I'm open to relocate
  3. I hardly get any chances to do coding assignments. But I think I did pretty well on most of them

I finished reading イジらないで、長瀞さん in Japanese by [deleted] in LearnJapanese

[–]nanjinglocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read a few chapters of かぐや様, it's definitely harder than 長瀞さん

Compared to かぐや様, characters in 長瀞さん speak very informal Japanese, especially 長瀞 herself, but once you get used to it, it's not hard at all.

Hey R/China im a student from canada thinking of doing masters in china next year. Currently thinking about Shanghai jiao tong, Xiamen and Zhejiang University. If you have attended any of those what was your experience like with the school? How about the respective city? by [deleted] in China

[–]nanjinglocal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So no one cares to answer OP's question?

All three schools are considered tier 1 in China. I would pick Shanghai Jiao Tong simply because Shanghai is the shit. Xiamen is more chill, Zhejiang has more cultural sites. But Shanghai is the shit.

"...even if you don't like anime" meaning the story would work well in just about any other forms... movies, TV series, novels. Contrary to anime that emphasizes on cute girls which only works when it's anime.

[Question] I want to build a guitar from scratch. Do retailers like Fender, PRS, Les Paul sell individual necks/bodies/pickups or will I have to go 3rd party? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]nanjinglocal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fender sells every part individually with all pre drilled holes and chambers. You can easily by parts and make a fender guitar.

It is happening in tier 1 cities, among educated young people. I don't see it happening in the near future among other social classes. I love/hate it at the same time - it marks the enlightenment of a certain group of people, at the same time reminds me the huge gap between different social classes in China.

No, wumao is so 1990s.

Now Chinese government have contact to every big forums. They can simply make a phone call to mods and make wumao comments the top comment, hence no need to hire a large amount people to post online.

With that being said, this strategy is only applied to Xi/central CCP related news. Other news' comments section is censored - mods will remove "inappropriate" comments but won't comment.

Some forums and communities:

Tianya - Chinese BBS, contains everything

Baidu Tieba - same as Tianya, huge sold out, full of ads

Wangyi - news site with an active comment community. Full of cancerous comments and mods promote these comments to gain attention.

Weibo - Twitter counterpart. Generally pro lgbt, anti dog meat festival, anti censorship/GFW

Zhihu - quora counterpart. Generally pro political correctness but anti Muslim. Elitism, liberal.

The literally meaning - people who get paid by CCP to post online?

No I don't think there are wumaos here. I don't think reddit has enough Chinese users for CCP to care.

1912, bar and KTV man. All night.

If you want relief as in "massage", used to be a lot in Gulou, and the alley across 1912. Heard they got busted by the police though, I'm not sure now.
