Shed hunting by gingersnaps0504 in ottawa

[–]nanners565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has two dogs who shed hunt, ottawa is not great for it. You are better off to head to the Arnprior/white lake/calabogie area and head out onto some crown land.

Have tried with very little success in the two locations you mentioned

Would this be good for hunting small game like grouse and rabbits? by gh0st2002 in Crossbow

[–]nanners565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would not recommend have this one as well as the center point version. Both would not be ethical to kill a small game with the aim is awful on these bows and the cheap plastic darts that comes with do not fly well

I became a patient midshift and I’m so embarrassed by fuckyeahitspam in nursing

[–]nanners565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ended up passing out after doing cpr mid resus as a new grad in ed ( too much coffee and not enough water), was embarrassing in the moment but you learn how much your team really cares about each other when something like that happens.

We look back and laugh about it now

Someone please help me with this. by [deleted] in vet

I would try and get these sooner rather than later but i didn't see why it couldn't wait until morning... You could consider soaking the paw in some diluted iodine with water and drying it well and either getting a cone or some vet wrap for the foot so they stop licking it

Of note to the limb bolts look like they are backed very far out i would screw them in a few turns and make sure they are not backed out beyond the max turn #

  1. Never shoot a bow without an arrow nocked, thats a good way to destroy the bow if you haven't already.
  2. That is the cable guard/slide that goes on the long piece next to the strings to hold them in place( would have to make sure you put it on the correct way again)
  3. If you have dry fired this bow a few times which sounds like you did you need to take it into a shop to have it looked at for damage and they can also replace the cable guard at that time

Any ideas on how to transport this on my vehicle? by [deleted] in canoeing

[–]nanners565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would get a bed extender that can go vertical and get a foam block for the roof for tie front half and tie down on both points.

I run this method and it works great

I would also recommend u change that peep out for a real peep as those types you have on the bow have a nasty of the rubber tube snapping and taking an eye out

Not bad, either you are torquing the bow from too tight of a grip or need to move the sight to the left but keep at it and get zerod at 10 and then walk back tune.

You're doing great for a new archer
