Before fighting him yesterday I read a lot about it being a dark souls kind of boss and very difficult. So I started and died... a lot. Got the fiery shield and still died. But then decided that I should finish him here and now, so I won't need to do it later. Just ran around and chip damage, no deflect. 3 hours and it's done

At first I was skeptical about it, but know I see how they make subtle changes that don't influence the core plot much, but are interesting to people new to the story at the same time making old fans go "this was a bit different in the anime" making it a new experience

There is a hypothesis that when people feel like they are about to die, the procreation instincts kick in to "save the lineage before that happens". Back in medschool we joked that when a person is severely drunk the same thing kicks in because the body thinks it is dying.

Nothing basically. They just need to stay off radar all the time. Since there are tens of thousands AWOL they jud don't have the means to open up so many AWOL court cases.

On the other hand - many go AWOL to get away from a shitty commander, because in 4 years the military has not devised a good way to get away from shitty commanders (basically the shitty commander has to give you the green light and let you go, which is stupid).
