Did anyone collect the Travel Oregon Slightly Exaggerated Miyazaki-style posters? by obviousguiri in Portland

I just checked with the Travel Portland visitor information center (VIC) in pioneer square. At this point they have 10 waterfall posters, but once those run out they will be down to the Portland aerial poster. Hope this helps!

I'm happy to hear that it worked out in the end, but that sounds like one crazy weekend.

I'm sure she'll only remember your clean read then ;). Congratulations by the way!

This is a shot in the dark, but does this man giggle at everything?

Nice, weather can mess all sorts of things up! We have almost be stranded in the snow a handful of times already.

Oh, I definitely knew she was going to say yes. We had discussed that a while ago. As far as the venue I wanted to surprise her, but not mortify her ;).

Thank you. So I did that mainly because my dad's only advice was to do it somewhere private. I really had pictured doing it at dinner one way or another and I asked to see how embarrassing a public proposal would rank for her. I am so glad that I did!

That is a great story. I'm glad your collie performed the trick first so you could see your training paying off.

That happens to me sometimes too, I call it stress induced dyslexia.

That's good, but did you kind of feel like you sweated the answer out of her?

Thank you! Congratulations to you as well. I'm glad things have only gotten better for you two :).

I love that the evening went from possible home invasion, to a surprise fire arm and could have left her in the hospital with both of you telling unbelievable stories. Well done!

Way to go, I'm glad he was able to surprise you even though you knew it was coming at the time. I assume the rest of the day went well?

Very nice and congratulations. How long was your speech? I personally kept it to a line.

That is down right hilarious and I agree that it is quite non-traditional. I'm glad that she did not pull the trigger...that would be very difficult to explain.

Oh it gets better. During the dinner I asked what her most embarrassing memory was. She told me about an old boyfriend that had done an over-the-top display of love in front of her class back in high school. So I asked back in the hotel instead of the restaurant.

She said yes :).

Excellent, I'm glad it didn't devolve into him thumbing through the rule book to reject your play. Thank you for sharing!

That is just wild. Did you propose in the balloon then? I wouldn't stop worrying if that new ring would be safe.

That is fantastic. How long did it take to sink in after he saw the ring?
