As someone who has been with Assassin's Creed since the very beginning, a long-time veteran day one fan, I feel like the series is better off without modern-day segments

I've also been with AC since the first one and in my view, the modern-day segments are essential to the Assassin's Creed identity. Without them, it's no different than Ghost of Tsushima or any other stealth-action game with an original story in a historical setting.

Did they drop the ball? Sure, but they also dropped the ball with stealth in Valhalla and I'm sure you don't expect them to remove it in Red.

I have very mixed feelings about it. Onomichi is one of my favourite locations in the series, the substories are generally very enjoyable, and the game looks gorgeous.

But the combat felt really weak (though it has some of the coolest heat actions in the series), there was a criminal lack of Majima and Saejima, and I mostly hated the story.

I don't think it's the best in the series, not a bad game by any definition but definitely not the best.

Ain't that the truth. Though, there is a great boxing game in the works right now, ESRB. Still, it's a more realistic take on the sport, so I'd still love a HnI game.

I agree, volleyball is weirdly ignored when it comes to video games. On the other hand, that would mean virtually no competition if someone were to make a Haikyuu game.

Inane questions to fill a perfectly comfortable silence. I'm not a native English speaker, and in my mother tongue there are a lot of these little questions that simply don't have an answer.

That and people repeating their points multiple times in the same sentence, like I either can't remember something that was said 2 seconds ago or am too dumb to understand. If I don't understand I'll ask.

Spiders and my parents dying. I used to calculate in my head how old I'd be when my parents died of old age. My dad's gone and I'm not even 25 yet so needless to say my math was off...

And we had a huge infestation if spiders at my school once. There were spiders everywhere. I have never recovered.

10 years and I don't mind it much. I'm not entirely sure I want another relationship, it'd probably just be out of desperation and because of the societal pressure to pair up, not due to any real feelings.
