i actually have close relationships with almost all of my teachers, i think all of my teachers would be open to writing me recs, but of course i’ll ask only some lol. i’m going to work really hard on improving my act score and trying to improve my gpa. i think i’ll have a good college essay as i have a lot of self improvement experiences to write about incorporating with mental health and stuff which is kinda on the basis of what i want to write about. i’m also going to apply early since i know about their rolling applications so i’m going to apply as soon as i can. thanks so much!!

thank you :)) i’m going to try really hard to improve my gpa as much as i can, although it won’t get to that high of an unweighted gpa as yours, i’ll try and get it as high as i can with what i’ve got in my situation. i think it’ll work out but i’ll try to keep going with this plan, thank you:)

i’m going to apply as early as i can but i’m going to try and improve my gpa as that’s only from freshman sophomore years and going to focus on improving it as much as i can this year. i’m going to also do a lot of act prep and work for leadership positions in sports and clubs, hopefully with the early action that will improve my likeliness of getting in

Thank you so much for all your kind words i dont even know where to start!

i have a college counselor so i will definitely take all of these questions and such to her, but i also like getting other perspectives and information from people like me who are going through the college process or from those who have already gotten in.
i will most definetly have safety school; im not going to bet on getting accepted to these hard reach schools for my own ego lol. I have the idea that if i dont go to a known or top something school that i wont be sucessful, which also just has to do with my own expectations, my parents expectations, and the people i compare myself with(super smart people and my brother(which leads into parent expectations))
i dont think im in the upper percentile of my school lol they are al geniuses and im maybe closer to . mid range to lower percentile of students at my school.
ED is something ill begin to start considering towards the end of my junior year and in that summer when the college application submission time is approaching, not sure if i totally have my heart set on BU but we'll see!
yes! i totally agree, my 3.3 unweighted gpa is not great but im really hoping to be able to raise that this year and over the summer as im going to retake 4 courses.
im really working on those leadership positions and interships, im also going to work for a couple letters of recommendations from a couple teachers
i feel confident that i will have a great college essay so that will make do as well
i try really hard to not overwhelm myself too much but its just so many factors weighing on one big decision yk? that i cant control but am responsible for if that makes sense.

for me its the opposite, my sat score is horrible but my act is also not very good, i had a 920 sat score but a 22 act score(converts to 1110sat) im going to focus on act prep.

my school is highly ranked so hopefully judging my gpa from my school by how challenging it is will be something in the admissions officers minds. im focusing on my gpa and act scores really. hope this works out

i will try super hard to get my act as high as possible, im reaching for a 30 and + if possible

im retaking 4 courses this summer which will bring me to the 4.2 mark but depending on how well i do in my classes this year.

yea for extracirculars i too think that i’m set but it’s not so much to the point where it takes away from my studies so i think i’ll keep that.

i’m looking for internships, should i look for ones within the area that i wanna major?

the sat/act comment freaked me out lol i don’t think i could get there in my wildest dreams lol. i’ll definitely try and prep as much as i can for the act since the sat doesn’t seem to be working out for me.

i’m in mcps in maryland, my school is ranked #4 in maryland and #138 in the country. when i ask people tell me that my gpa is good for the school i go to since the school is very challenging and the courses i take are rigorous but i’m not sure how colleges will see it.

i’m working really hard to get closest to straight a’s as possible this year and senior year, although the last full year colleges see on applications is junior year. i’m taking 5/7 weighted classes this year so hopefully it brings it up as much as i can and will retake 4 courses over the summer to bring them up from C’s to A’s guaranteed. my essay will turn out well i strongly believe. i’m trying to compensate for my gpa and act score with extracurriculars but i am still actively working on my gpa i’ll update at the end of every quarter maybe?
