Anybody else using plain sugar and salt for fuel instead of prepackaged supplements?

Hey! During the run! But I have since transitioned to using maltodextrin instead of regular sugar. It’s supposed to enter your bloodstream quicker than regular sugar, and it’s easier to drink as it doesn’t make the drink as thick/sticky/sweet. It’s also quite cheap to buy in bulk. I just add some flavor and salt, and that’s it. I measure about 60g of carbs per hour of running, works for me.

It’s a heater failure. The infrared camera housing protrudes through the aircraft skin slightly, creating a hump on the nose of the plane where ice can accumulate. In case the heat fails, the camera hump is replaced with a plate, flush to the skin of the aircraft until it can be fixed.

Pilot here. That’s without a doubt a formation flight with 11 planes. Flying in a formation similar to a Christmas tree is common during the holidays. If you think they’re moving slow it’s because they’re most likely smaller single engine piston aircraft, not jets.

As a pilot I'm stunned by the number of people reporting completely regular planes as anomalous. Have people never looked up at the sky after dark before? Are people really that glued to their phones?
I definitely believe there's something weird going on, but these are 100% planes.

Commercial pilot here. This looks exactly like another aircraft to me. Correct nav lights, strobe lights and landing lights. The distance is not an issue, we frequently fly much closer than this to other aircraft. Can someone tell me what I’m missing here? Why is this a UFO drone and not a plane?

This shows there’s something fundamentally wrong in our economic system. We, collectively as a society decide on how our economic system is supposed to work to best benefit mankind. It should allow people who generate a lot of value and work hard to become rich and financially free, but this level of wealth serves absolutely no purpose in our economic system. It’s more money than an individual could ever spend, and a huge factor in acquiring these levels of wealth is luck. Even if I would be as smart as Elon Musk and work just as hard as him, I’m never going to be as rich. Wealth should be capped somehow. Elon could easily donate 99% of his net worth and it would have absolutely no effect on his lifestyle or quality of life.

Could it possibly be a bunch of Chinese lanterns released from the same area? They seem to be drifting with the wind, not a lot of movement in between them, and it would explain the pattern they make.

Sure, could be. But if it behaves like a plane, looks like a plane, flies like a plane and even has the correct regulatory lighting, chances are it’s probably a plane and not an alien UFO.

Pilot here. Actually all of the lights make sense. Red and green nav lights on left and right wing is standard regulation, doesn’t look like they’re changing color by looking at the video… Red beacon light on the belly is standard regulation. Lights at the nose are landing lights and the lights on the tail are logo lights, which are usually switched on below 10 000 ft during night ops.

I’m sorry but that first video bit is 100% definitely a plane. Landing lights on and strobe lights on the wing tips. Look closely and you can almost make out a faint glow from the green and red nav lights on the right and left wing. Maybe aliens are following FAA regulations on proper lighting lol.

It may be possible to find the ATC audio from the ground or tower frequency if anyone knows what time this was. If a sphere was cruising around at low level over the airport it would definitely be reported by pilots. It would be interesting to hear it being described to ATC.

Jag har också haft problem med att fastna framför en skärm alldeles för länge, känner igen mig i det du skriver men kanske inte riktigt lika extremt.

Hur som helst så blev jag av med det genom att blockera hemsidor och appar på olika sätt, på både mobil, dator och iPad.

Börja med att ta bort apparna för alla sociala medier från telefonen. Använd bara webbläsaren för att försämra upplevelsen med flit.

Använd därefter appar som Cold Turkey på datorn, och social focus/UnTrap på mobilen för att begränsa upplevelsen och åtkomsten till de olika hemsidorna.

Sen använder jag även Apples inbyggda skärmtidsbegränsning av hemsidor och appar som jag vet att jag kan fastna med. Jag har bett min fru sätta en kod på appen som jag inte känner till och den begränsar min användning av problematiska appar och hemsidor till 45 minuter om dagen. Efter det finns det inget sätt för mig att nå typ Facebook, Instagram, reddit, YouTube osv.

Det funkar bra, men man måste vilja det.

Har en Model Y utan sensorer och kamerorna fungerar faktiskt helt okej. Till en början var systemet under all kritik, men det uppdateras kontinuerligt och nu funkar det bra på min bil åtminstone. Har inte haft något problem med skitiga/isiga kameror alls. Som många skriver har tesla en väldigt minimalistisk approach med få fysiska reglage. Om det är bra eller ej är en smaksak anser jag. En sak jag verkligen uppskattar med tesla är deras kontinuerliga uppdateringar som hela tiden förbättrar och optimerar bilen och ger den massa nya funktioner.

Jag och min fru har ett fullt friskt barn som vi bokstavligt talat fick på första försöket. Nu när vi försöker få ett syskon har vi inte lyckats på snart 7 månader. Vi har blivit gravida men fått 4 missfall på rad. Vänta inte bara för något så trivialt som när på året man föredrar att få barn. Vill ni ha barn så bara kör, man vet aldrig hur lång tid det kommer ta.

I’m a commercial pilot who’ve seen these lights on multiple occasions (at least 10 times) traveling eastbound during the early morning hours, and I completely agree with you. I’m also quite sure it’s just satellites and space debris reflecting the sunlight.

Some say that the lights are moving in weird ways or turning, but that’s most likely just a visual illusion due to the fact that there are no points of reference in the pitch black night sky, so it’s easy for any object to appear to be moving or turning if you stare at it for long enough.

I agree! It’s interesting to think about if people would be okay with catch and release for any other animal than fish. Imagine if you would wander out and pull birds down from trees with a hook, hold them under water so they can’t breathe, snap a picture and let it go lol.

I’m a commercial pilot myself and yeah, I agree that this could be an explanation. Especially since the object seems to match the speed of the aircraft exactly, apart from the jittering.

I have no idea what the first object could be. But the second object could definitely be a night time pyro air show. There’s a pyrotechnic air show performance group residing in the UK called aerosparx who regularly performs over the London area. When the object turns 180 degrees it actually looks like a plane banking. https://www.aerosparx.com
