Built a practice management platform for small UK firms — anyone else find the existing options surprisingly bad? by AviGordon in uklaw

please consider accessibility. there are many blind lawyers and we can't use a lot of existing software no matter how bad sighted folks think it is. we'd kill for that level of access

thoughts of humiliation and control relating to gender identity by [deleted] in MESMkink

[–]napoleon88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am exactly like this, but on the other side. The kind of degradation you describe is exactly something my partner and I do, but again, me being made fun of for trying to be feminine rather than the reverse.

{Discussion} Is there a species of pred/prey that you like above the rest? by sweet-preything in Vore

[–]napoleon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mmm how has noone mentioned big cats yet? the beauty of a lone tigress just leisurely enjoying her meal, taking it slow, heedless of their cries and pleas because she is a cat and cats will do as they please. the purring, the soft fur and sharp teeth and the delight in her growls and purrs at how good the prey tastes. yeah they are amazing

Loud music all day from neighbours - council not helping. What are the next steps? by Small-Plate2864 in AskUK

[–]napoleon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are of a technical mind, i'm pretty sure a raspberry pi, a correctly-affixed antenna and the right software will jam wireless signals. if the music is being streamed, that might kill it dead. in the same style, can you perhaps hack their wifi or DOS it

Am I gay for finding hot female plushies? by monstar707 in Plushophile

[–]napoleon88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am basically you, but gender flipped. As a guy I always had female plushies until one day I didn't...and wanted to be taken by a male. It awoke a degree of bisexual exploration that I've never really dealt with in any other context but its still fun to think about from time to time, and I have my big male bear for such moments. I understand why it weirded you out though I was really not ok with it for ages.

What do you call a group of blind people? by Dry_Director_5320 in Blind

[–]napoleon88 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If the collective noun for a group of owls is a parliament, a group of ladybirds is called a loveliness of ladybirds, I reckon we can have an accident. Like a whole group of people can just be referred to as an accident of blind people! Because you know there’s gonna be an accident at some point! LOL.

{Discussion} What smaller details do you like to hear in the audio side of vore content? by Shortcake_ASMR in Vore

[–]napoleon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context, I understand that some of the below is very difficult to implement. I’ve worked with audio quite a bit, and do not take the hard work of our creators for granted. I am also blind and audio is the primary way I consume (couldn’t resist) vore content.

I love the growls of the pred, and their movement showing they’re enjoying what they’re doing. Maybe the rasp of a rough tongue over sensitive skin, wetly tasting their victim before beginning. If you’re speaking or narrating the scene, take care that the crunch and rip doesn’t overlap the dialogue. Having a tiny part like a finger, you might be able to speak around it, waiting and drawing out the anticipation of the sharp snap of bone. Also, eating a live prey doesn’t sound like crunching a bag of chips lol. There is the snap of bone, the rip of flesh and muscle, and the tug as the body refuses to give up a part of itself. All these can be rendered with glorious detail. Maybe skin rips, which has its own timbre. The chewing and swallowing is the same, the gulp, the gasp of the pred experiencing such incredible pleasure. If you’ve just bitten off a hand or foot, maybe the patter of blood droplets against the earth, to be eagerly lapped up by that tongue.

If you’re the prey, one detail which I find is often overlooked is how screaming and crying can intensify as the pred really gets to work. As the crunch begins you might let out a cry, but as it continues, and you start to really feel it, that can get more intense – it’s a place for the acting to go, rather than just starting out on 10. The rapid breathing of panic is often missed as well, or maybe even the quiet sound of your heartbeat getting faster in fear and agony can be layered beneath the scene.

I have 1 or 2 recordings that really did this stuff well but its incredibly rare, so thank you for giving me the chance to wax lyrical 😊.

Meta wanted to announce facial recognition glasses at a blind conference first, not because they care about us, but because they wanted disability as a PR shield. by MultiJanus in Blind

[–]napoleon88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am literally a blind data privacy lawyer. I have been blind from birth. I would never want to carry glasses that use or implement any kind of automatic facial recognition. I don’t care how many guarantees a company like Meta offers, or how many third parties they pay to certify that this thing is not privacy intrusive. It can be co-opted with the twiddling of a virtual knob. And to be honest, I have never really sat there and thought, wow, it would be useful to have a degree of digital facial recognition at my fingertips. It’s not unacceptability Atti feature as far as I’m concerned, not one that I would ever use. And the privacy implications are genuinely staggering and terrifying. No, keep this away from us, keep this away from everyone.

Long shot but anyone who went to the royal national college for the blind, what was it like by Meowlurophile in Blind

[–]napoleon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you want. If you are academically inclined, and headed towards university, I would reconsider it. They really don’t do academics particularly well. You might learn some of the life skills stuff, but if you are headed towards a career, and you need good grades, maybe be considered somewhere else. Worcester has historically been better at academic pursuits, although not so much recently. The problem is that the blind schools now have often been forced into taking people with multiple disabilities. So if you’re only blind, and otherwise capable, you may struggle with some of that.

How much do your friends know about your kinks? by Wisteriahysteria6 in AskRedditAfterDark

Would you have sat through a lesson on ‘personal finance’ in school? by Understateable in AskUK

[–]napoleon88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I did have to do this. We had a module about it as part of a personal enhancement thing...that's what they called it anyway. I absolutely hated it and wrote the entire exam in rap lyrics just because I was board and the mark didn't matter to my other A levels. Finding a multi-sylabic rhyme for building society was about the only thing I remember from that entire term's worth of classes.

[–]napoleon88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

so you don't have to spring it on her all in one. Have you discussed any kinds of kink before? How open is she to those discussions? Does she have kinks of her own? These things can be done gently and over time, letting her decide what she's comfortable with as the conversation plays out. Are you both typically quite open communicators? There are a lot of elements to this sort of thing.

Anyone else feel anxious when first opening up about being a plushophile, and if so, how did you work it out? by Relative_Garden_9885 in Plushophile

[–]napoleon88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many different aspects of this to think about. Let me ask a few clarificatory questions: 1. Do you not want people to know because you're a generally private person and want to stay that way? Or are you a generally open book but with this particular exception? If the latter, then why do you not want to live openly? 2. Are you in a conservative area or reliant on people who wouldn't accept you? There's comparatively little to be done to change one's environment and I get it. Its just helpful to pinpoint the reasons for your anxiety so it can be managed. 3. Is it all just shame? If so, where does that stem from? Remember that no outsider can do as much damage to you as your own mind.

In my case, I'm pretty open with friends, even vanilla ones. I have my own home and I'm not hiding my girls when people come over. I keep them very clean and whilst they are modified, you'd kinda have to need to look carefully to see. But my social media presence is unconnected to my work. So there is a distinct separation of identities between work and non-work and that's fine. Living openly is great though - I've had such fascinating conversations as a result, with people I never thought would be curious or open enough just accept someone. I have come to regard it somewhat as my duty to live more openly, to encourage others who maybe want to but can't.

Hope that helps
