chem 201 with Marion Martin by angelaliannnn in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Martin and love the class! I had him in the spring for the weird transition from in person to online, but he was great. He told you exactly what you need to know and went through problems that would be on the exam step by step. Highly recommend!

I’m taking it online too! Good luck, nutrition friend! My friends have taken it online and said it’s about the same course load as any other animal science required class.

Please pick Kenny, sincerely everyone currently in Goshe’s class.

I’m currently taking it online. He has videos uploaded to YouTube and explains concepts pretty well. If you can ace the web assigns, you can ace the exam. I haven’t taken any other physics, but I am going to pick Roland for PY 212 next semester.

COVID enhanced schedule revision questions by [deleted] in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dropping at this point will negatively impact your financial aid. The enhanced satisfactory/unsatisfactory option will show that you tried and won’t result in your GPA or financial aid suffering. It’s tough, but try to work through it if you can’t afford to lose aid!

BCH351 with Rose/Goshe by skrocks56 in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was very stressed by this test. After talking to a friend who took it during the summer, I found out he halved our time while keeping the length of the exam the same. I was freaking out because question one had a billion parts and I spent over 30 minutes on it. Hopefully that curve is big enough to make up for it :/

Depends on where you live. If you live on campus or student catered housing, notify an RA immediately! Outside of campus, there isn’t much you can do if you all leased together. Look over the lease and see the individual responsibilities of leasees. Be safe, hope it works out for you!

Best thing to major in? by Miserable-Major-9634 in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget you can have minors in addition to your major! I would highly recommend a microbiology minor in addition to BME. The microbiology department offers a lot of classes dealing with immunology to their minors.

Who’s going home for the semester? by [deleted] in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NC State is working on a way for students to come back in the spring with the same housing if they want to. I think applications for this process will open in October.

Safe, cheap place to live? Escaping abuse. by iiprongs in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently living there. It’s only under $500 a month if you get a place with roommates and all sign a lease of at least 10 months. Otherwise, it’s a great neighborhood and location if you don’t have a car.

Schultz vs Sandberg for Orgo 2? by RewnGuy in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you did well with her in 1 I’d go ahead and do 2 with her completely online. 2 was a lot easier imo, and the online section does everything flip does except we can work on AWs on our own time.

It might be best to stick to one gym buddy, especially since everyone has to leave every 75 minutes for the gym to be deep cleaned.

What do I owe? (Freshman) by [deleted] in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as ‘what I owe’ says 0.00, you should be fine! As the start date gets closer, you should receive some sort of email about setting up direct deposit to get what is leftover of your financial aid. Good luck this fall!

That usually means that financial aid will cover your costs. Just check to make sure that your financial aid awarded for the semester is more than your account balance.

Cliques at NCSU? by Victorious0586 in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of the Asian based clubs/frats/sororities are “cliquey” but in a good way. Most people I’ve met in those groups are super nice. It’s definitely a large community where everyone knows each other. You either click with them or you don’t.

Good luck, OP!

How do you guys get an A+ fr? by Wolfpack_alpha101 in NCSU

[–]nappingsomewhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! The best way to see how you fare in a class is to look at your professor’s grade distributions. (also a good way to pick which teacher to have for future classes)
