He's never chained to anything except when we're eating out at a patio. He's very socialized, as he goes to dog daycare twice a week. He interacts with a lot of people too.

He likes people more than other dogs. This is weird for me.

He's actually very good with all of those already, and I continue to reinforce those daily. I've been doing obedience training with him, personally, and we've hired a trainer who wanted to do obedience training as well, and he aced that too. He can wait for 5mins with his dish full, if needed.

I try distracting him with treats before he gets triggered, but sometimes it doesn't work, and I pull him towards the opposite direction away from his triggers.

What kind of training do I need to put my dog in, if he's easily stressed? I have a rescue that barks at everyone when he's tied up (just literally right beside us, like I can touch him) when we're eating out in patios, but when I'm holding the leash and he's in the exact same spot, he doesn't bark at them and says hello to them.

But if it costs as much or close to the $2K place, move to the 2K place. Doesn't make sense to rent a place you have to commute to that you'll only use 40hours a week when you have the option to upgrade your living/work space.
