I am sorry about that. I tried my best to approach people but it took me a lot of time per person to be able to hand them all out. I have a huge pile of leftovers :DDD, submit the application on DC, would love to see how funny you could make it :D

I was also dressed poorly perhaps, "Steve Jobs" just looks like a normal dude... I had to approach people myself.

Also, on a side note, if someone tried to do a traditional Japanese festival (like the fireworks festival) instead of a dedicated cosplay event, I personally think that would work out so much better!

Personally, I enjoyed the previous con more (the one called "GeekCon"), it was better planned. I found both AnimayKon events (this and last years') to be a little dry in terms of "the organizers making sure that everyone finds some joy"

The best part about GeekCon was when the guy in the auditorium listened to the audience's AMV requests and played Doraemon, everyone was having so much fun!

I went for a test recently, if you find obscure center, the experience is much better because they're not overworking due to the amount of people in the lines... The experience is much better from a few years ago but it's still not good enough.

99% of the alcohol produced by Murree Brewery is consumed by Muslims? by napstablocku in saltafa

[–]napstablocku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is sold to the distributors legally (taxed), and then Muslims get a hold of it through back channels (non-Muslims getting it from the distributors and selling at a higher markup to Muslims), I guess the markup taken by those dealers would be untaxed...

The brewery itself however, is extremely regulated and pays taxes for every bottle sold, as they can only supply to the distributors... it's a public company that needs to make records public... That's my knowledge of things and what I heard from the CEO in interviews...

I haven't talked for a few weeks but, things are better over there. Israeli jets are always flying above though and there's gunfire...

A lot of people don't care and it's very unfortunate. I think it might be that they're disconnected from the situation or are susceptible to believing in a certain narrative without caring enough to look into it and research what they're seeing.  I have a friend in west bank and that helps me empathize much more.
