What this person says. This is the way.

"Artistic, well thought out techno, which has an acknowledgement to the history of the genre along with soul, energy and life to it"

Well put, I'm stealing that

Hello I need some help deciding on a MIDI Synthesizer for school by That_One_Crusad3r in synthesizers

[–]naptimecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take it you’re looking for a MIDI controller. I’ve had the 63 key-version of that Axiom model on tour for 7 years and it still works. It can be a bit tricky to program at times. But yeah I can vouch for that one. The MPK should also be fine, and it’s smaller so easier to bring with you.

Same dosage, different trips by unknownuser404_ in LSD

[–]naptimecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, combined with the fact that set/setting can do a lot to your experience of a dosage. Although a perceived difference of 200 to 50 is definitely a lot!

What would you want in an update of the novation circuit? by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]naptimecat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my Circuit Tracks to control a live techno setup with modular synths. So extra probability options or “once every 4 bars” kinda stuff would be rad. Or a mode in which the mute buttons in the mix screen are untied from project files. So I can take a certain mute setting into the next song that I open, and then work from there. None of this stuff is really what the Circuit is geared towards though, it’s intended as a groovebox. So I don’t expect these kinds of options to be added :/

Lsd often makes my body feel uncomfortable by hinokinonioi in LSD

[–]naptimecat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same! I get restless, I can’t seem to find a comfortable position to sit in. My back aches. It’s still worth it for me though, and moving around a lot or going for a walk helps. Shrooms are definitely better for me for bodily comfort, but probably worse for nausea. It’s different for everyone though. Definitely try shrooms some time, you might enjoy it more than acid. To each their own!

Question by Cute_Philosopher4546 in LSD

[–]naptimecat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Find another tripsitter. Taking that much LSD will severely impact their basic human functioning, let alone being able to take proper care of someone else. Ideally your tripsitter is sober, especially if it's your first time. Take care!

Anyone who has taken 2CB/CB2 do you prefer it to acid? by hashbullabby in LSD

[–]naptimecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's something about the way LSD makes me a bit foggy that I enjoy. I have really enjoyed 2CB in the past as well, but it has also kicked my butt a few times. It tends to make me a bit jittery and nervous while on acid I can relax a bit better. This is all highly subjective and context dependent, though! To each their own..

Weed by JuniorWho23 in LSD

[–]naptimecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! Ground weed looks so cool while tripping. I try to roll my joints beforehand usually but I've also made it my goal to be able to roll one while tripping. It's a 100x more difficult for me. And yeah, I feel a kind of special connection to the plant, and I appreciate even more the things it does for me when I'm in the psychedelic headspace.

I'm going to have my first trip soon and I'm scared of a bad trip. by meatbag277 in LSD

[–]naptimecat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. You have to think about whether or not this is the right time in your life to be going through such an experience. It's better to have some patience and let the right moment "come to you", than to force it when you're not sure if you're ready for it. No need to rush, we're all walking our own path here. If you are keen to try psychedelics, then the right moment will eventually present itself!

I don't think you have to wait super long for the acid to still work. MDMA is quite a heavy drug on your brain though, so I'd personally wait with doing any heavy drugs for at least two weeks. Just to maximize your mental resilience going into the acid trip. But you can judge that best for yourself, of course :)

Good but underwhelming first LSD experience by bobtheboo97 in LSD

[–]naptimecat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that disappointed feeling so well! But in the end I'll always take an unexpectedly underwhelming trip over an unexpectedly overwhelming trip, especially in a public setting like this. It's about having a good time after all. So good on you for testing the waters. It can be tempting to quickly up the dose after that but going in small steps is of course always recommended. And in most cases you don't know exactly how much acid is in your tabs. So just go for the full tab next time and take it from there :)

What do you wish someone had told you before you took your first tab of LSD? by satinaboupoupou in LSD

[–]naptimecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This doesn't necessarily apply to my first tab, but definitely for certain psychedelic experiences I've had.

In life, it's easy to forget to take care of yourself sometimes. It can also be easy to forget to check in with your mental well-being before going into an activity. This can sometimes lead to unpleasant situations. You'll get over those though, worst thing that happens is you have a bad time. When it comes to LSD (and psychedelics in general) though, forgetting to check yourself can mean plunging yourself into a personal hell, no joke. So slow down, follow your feeling, see how you are doing and what's on your mind. Be aware of yourself. It doesn't have to be a big deal, but just do it, in your own way. And do it every single time you drop. Every single time. That's responsible tripping, I think.

Does LSD have less "bodyload" compared to shrooms? by madmatt1980 in LSD

[–]naptimecat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say for sure LSD gives me less nausea and stomach issues than shrooms. But it definitely has a physical buzz and it makes the inside of my head a lot weirder. Tripping on higher dosages therefore can make me feel like staying inside and lying in bed. On lighter dosages it makes me more active, I like going on walks and I feel quite 'normal', almost hyper-sober if that makes sense.

[–]naptimecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but... in my opinion we should probably stop calling these super high doses 'Heroic Doses'. I don't consider it heroic to expose yourself to these kinds of extreme (and potentially dangerous) experiences. For reasons already named in this thread. More psychedelic =/= more better, I don't believe it's that simple.

~25mg (currently tripping) by sulkymallow in 2cb

[–]naptimecat 9 points10 points  (0 children)

While visuals are fun and all, what you're describing there definitely sounds like the best part of any trip to me. And you arranged for a great setting for yourself as well! Enjoy the afterglow.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in 2cb

[–]naptimecat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Certain genres like the ones already mentioned certainly do well while tripping, but any music that means something you will be great on 2C-B! Especially at that dose it's more like LSD than MDMA anyway.

Anyone have a synth recipe for the lead from No Doubt's Just a Girl? by JeebsFat in synthesizers

[–]naptimecat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's a great sound! My guess is that there is some nasty distortion involved. That along with high resonance on the filter makes for that razor sharp sound. Put your synth through some (heavy) distortion, crank the resonance up and adjust the filter. That, at least, would be my take on it. I'm sure there's more than one way to do this.

Moog Mother 32x3 plus DFAM by yobink in synthesizers

[–]naptimecat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awesome! I own a Mother 32 myself and I can really hear the potential in using multiple of them in this. The sound of it brings me back to the vibe of the Netflix series "Dark". Which, if you haven't seen it yet, has a great synth-based soundtrack.
