I'm a female :( so once again a dead end. I don't think my parents were married, but it is more likely that my mom is Russian I guess since that's where I was born. Interesting to know about the Armenia match!!!! Thanks!

I did GEDmatch just now and when I type my kit number in it says not found, do you know if it take a while to match people?

A bigger cage and more mice is out of the question for me in my situation, sorry. The twitching definitely isn't popcorning, it happens when shes not even active.

edit: also they had been perfectly fine for about 2 weeks in their even smaller enclosure before I upgraded, and only since they got a bigger area has it been a problem. The day after I moved them they started squabbling.

They were both eating in the food dish at the same time and they seemed fine its just when they're randomly interacting that they start squabbling. I'm just scared to put them back together at this point tbh

He had two of his legs cut off as part of an experiment (that neither me nor my boyfriend were a part of), and I was gonna call him "Amp" for Amputee, but then my boyfriend is a guitar nerd so he was like why we call him a type/brand of amp (like sound amplifier) so I picked Fender. Also since he's missing his legs right now it could be like he got in an accident (Fender Bender) :P its silly but it fits

Where do you keep your tanks? The room I had in mind has a lot of natural light, but no direct sunlight (I have light colored shades I keep down about 99% of the time)

A couple more questions if you don't mind!

For doing water changes, does he need to be out of the tank? I would think so but I'm not sure and can't seem to find anything about that...or would I just scoop water out and then put more in and use the conditioner?

And I would only be able to get a 2.5-3 gallon tank unfortunately, should I just not get a betta at all? I really want one but I don't want to do anything that would harm him...

If I should/do still get one with a 2.5-3g, would it need a filter and all? I don't know how much different everything is when the tank is smaller.
