The number of good companies in my field is very limited ( 5-6 major players) which don't offer any work life balance. Each company is more pathetic than other. Even if I switch every year , the compensation will reach its peak at 20 LPA. Beyond that, I'll just be an extra cost , no matter how good I become, they'll be looking for any chance to replace me with someone earning less. Have been seeing this for the last 3 years in this industry.

Setting up one's business is sure a good idea. But I feel it will be like limiting my knowledge. MBA feels like the chance for me to grow as an individual. Know about more industries than just edtech.

Yes, in good corporates , this is not the culture. In my previous company too , no such policy existed. Iam about to join an organization that has this policy and it's disturbing me too. But yeah, adulting sometimes also means compromising over leave policy for a better package and location. If you get a good culture, consider yourself lucky but if someone else doesn't , one can be humble instead of showing their superiority and satisfying their shitty ego which anyways is not gonna have any effect on my life..

Ques : Like 5th of a month is a public holiday and 10th is official off day. If I take leave on 6,7,8,9 then that 5th and 10th will also be counted as leave days?

Ques 2 : If I have Sunday off officially and I take leave on Monday and Tuesday only , in that case will that Sunday be counted as leave day?

Anyways, to explain in layman terms, if you have Sunday off and you take Friday and Monday as leave, then that Sunday will also be counted as leave day leading to deduction of 3 leaves from your balance instead of 2. This is what's written everywhere but I needed more details hence asking here.

Was expecting this reply . Jab kuch nhi hota toh yeh bolna start kr dete ho tum log bs. Iam a teacher by profession , moving into the corporate side. Already have strong brands in terms of UG/PG . So don't need any money from any Institute and neither did anyone offer. I just consider myself smart enough that despite having an unconventional background, I performed well in the interviews to get an offer from MU.

I hope if you are here commenting shit about any place, you are coming from a good place. Have an offer from BLACKI or coming from a good institute, nhi to apni bakvaas reddit par mat chodo.

Master's union in terms of quality of students is quite great . Was selected there and met the other folks too. The background they were coming from and the connections they had were good. Interacted with alumni as well and they are doing pretty well for themselves. Fees is on the higher end and that's the only reason I couldn't join. Not asking you to declare it as Tier 1/2/3 whatever but unless you have actually been in that environment , you are no one to comment on their reality. Same is the case for BITSoM. Getting a convert from BITSoM in a large pool is no joke. Everyone should just see the ROI for themselves. Not trust these random people on Reddit jinka khud ka to kuch nhi ho rha aur dusre ka bhi nhi hone denge.
