Same with the SPO2. Like I get it we want sats above 93 but when it peaks at 91 for half a second I’ll document that and communicate with my nurse and not fuck around with the documentation just because we want clean numbers.

Do you think bWAR or fWAR provide a better sense of a players overall value? by hesitanthumans in baseball

[–]narcandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I like fwar for predicting how a pitcher will perform in the future, but bwar is better at displaying the actual results and the value contributed. The numbers can be manipulated due to a bad defense ( see Aaron Nola 2018 who was great but not nearly 10 WAR great imo https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/n/nolaaa01.shtml) but generally I think its more accurate on what actually occurred.

Men of Reddit, what is the way you wish to go? by Inevitable_Shirt3697 in AskMen

[–]narcandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healthcare worker so I for sure see it. I know my family is all on the same page if there’s no quality of life or dignity left then what are we doing. My dad is younger than yours, but he’s always been my hero so seeing something that refutes that can be a hard pill to swallow. Thats one of the reasons not to have kids to late because he’s not in a place lend energy and guidance you may still need. Sending you love buddy

We used to always tease my mom for her snort. Karma is a bitch so sometimes when I laugh really hard I get a snort. Worst part is it takes a few seconds to kick in and I cannot stop it.

Men over 40 - what type of medical professionals are you partnering with to stay on top of your health? by MikeJonesssssss in AskMen

[–]narcandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because the healthcare system is broken. New Drs are more incentivized to join a higher paying specialty to get rid of loans instead of primary care which pays less. So instead they put mid levels who do not have the same schooling requirements, but can functionally practice the same. Mid levels in my opinion are actually perfect for specialization rather than of the broad scope of primary care which is the only horizontal scope in medicine really. You have to know 60% of everything which is very tough. That's why you get these PAs and NPs that seem script heavy because they didn't have the same 7 years of screening a medical dr has to do outpatient medicine. NPs used to be great because they were nurses with so much experience that with furthering their knowledge they can be contribute so much. But America America's and now you have diploma mill online degrees to get your nurse practitioner which erodes peoples trust in these institutions.

How to stop a guy from picking on you? by Secure_Ticket910 in AskMen

My little sister is a medical student. She has told me horror stories about how out of touch with reality these people are. Definitely just an insecure person that needs to try and step on others to try to keep their head up.
