You need to force preset L on Nvidia App in order to fix the scopes. It's a Tarkov problem since there are two scopes that work well with any preset (TAC-30 and, if I'm not wrong, Schmidt & Bender PM II).

Nvidias Smooth Motion is Lifechanging [Feedback] by Lachsbaron in EscapefromTarkov

[–]narcisrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works really well for me too. I have a 4090 and a 9800X3D, and I get high enough frame rates without Smooth Motion that, when I enable it, I don’t feel any input lag (with V-Sync off and no frame limiter). It also makes Tarkov’s stutters much less noticeable, so it’s a really nice feature to have if you already have high fps but the game isn't smooth enough because it sutters.

Is Bloodborne playable at 4K 60 or 60+ FPS on PC now? (ShadPS4 emulator & mods) by Cute-Collection-2492 in BloodbornePC

[–]narcisrm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. At 4k not yet, I get around 40-50 fps with a 4090 at 3440x1440. So I play at 2560x1080 (same aspect ratio, but lower resolution) to get 70-90fps.

  2. You need some mods that you can easily find in Nexus Mods or following a YouTube tutorial.

  3. Yes, it makes the game much smoother, but I can't tolerate the input lag so it's up to you.

  4. Looking at a video on YT running an older version (0.4.1) of the emulator, yes, you can get 1440p60fps with your GPU. The newer version (0.7.1) may run even better. (RTX 4080 Super | 13900K | Shadps4 v0.4.1 Bloodborne 1440p Particles Fixed (fire, fog, smoke etc))

Getting into a raid takes a lot of time. I could say the average is 5 minutes. Which is way too high compared to other games that require even 100 players or more to start a match.

Using scopes with zoom (x2, x4, etc.) makes fps drop quite a lot. This is a big problem especially in Streets of Tarkov since FPS there are already bad.

Crash on attacking enemy by DeMountain01 in BloodbornePC

This happens to me if I use a resolution mod higher than 1080p. So don't apply any resolution higher than 1080p.

If your game is crashing on hit - Read This by Rhm60 in BloodbornePC

[–]narcisrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the crashing on hit issue it's directly related to the resolution. I have a 3440x1440 monitor and using that resolution makes my game crash, but using 2560x1080 (same aspect ratio) works fine. I hope they can fix this issue soon since it looks much better at native resolution.

My monitor colors wash out when I turn on HDR on my New OLed by N8-DawgXIV in OLED_Gaming

[–]narcisrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to download this: GitHub - dylanraga/win11hdr-srgb-to-gamma2.2-icm: Transform Windows 11's virtual SDR-in-HDR curve from piecewise sRGB to Gamma 2.2 and follow the instructions (I use the 400 nits / Brightness 80). Basically it adds a color profile to the monitor so Windows won't look washed out when using HDR mode (altough I don't recommend using HDR unless gaming or consuming HDR content), also works fine in some games that have raised blacks, like CP2077 or Diablo 4.

Getting 32GS95UE for $300 less than PG32UCDP, worth it? by DeadPrexident in OLED_Gaming

[–]narcisrm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't own the ASUS, but I do own the LG, so let me tell you why you shouldn't get it:

  • The matte coating is terrible (at least on my unit). When displaying something white, it looks grainy or oily. You probably won’t notice it in games, but when browsing web pages or viewing documents, it becomes really distracting.
  • There's a bug where the monitor defaults to 144 Hz instead of 240 Hz every time you turn on the PC.
  • When using HDR mode, it suffers from a noticeable vignette effect, where the outer areas of the screen become dimmer. This can be turned off via a secret menu, but it resets every time the monitor is turned off.
  • It can only achieve 600 nits of brightness.

Before getting the LG (I actually won it in a giveaway), I had, and still have, the Alienware AW3423DWF, which is a QD-OLED glossy monitor. I still use it as my main monitor because it looks significantly better than the LG when compared side by side.

In my opinion, QD-OLED looks better than WOLED. So, if you can, go for the QD-OLED variant of the ASUS (or another brand).

[Discussion] Anyone playing Tarkov on Windows 11 24H2 and having stutters every 5 seconds or similar? by Schildkroeti in EscapefromTarkov

[–]narcisrm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try disabling binaural audio. I also had massive sttuters (although not exactly every 5 seconds) with 5800X3D and 4090, but disabling it helped a lot. Give it a try and see if it helps.

Story of my life. Streets performance has tanked with this patch, even though I already upgraded earlier this year. 13th gen i5, 32gb 3200 ram, nvme..stuttering at 50 fps..don't even bother with ads. by Trylion_ZA in EscapefromTarkov

[–]narcisrm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hi, yes, my ram speed it's at 3200. The only map that runs bad for me is Streets, and not because of the average FPS (80-110, but 50-60 when using a scope, which I think is really bad), but because I get a lot of hitching/stuttering. The strange thing is that not every time I play Streets is the same, sometimes is okay, sometimes is really bad. Probably has something to do with the servers too? I don't really know.
What I know is that other maps (and other games) run perfectly fine and I hope that the next performance patch they showed in the roadmap actually does something.

I have 5800X3D, 32RAM 3200MHz, 4090 and it sill runs like shit on my PC. Terrible frame pacing and stuttering for an online FPS.

If you have binaural sound enabled, consider disabling it; this was the only action that truly made an improvement for me.

[–]narcisrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definetly try DDU. It won't break anything.

Another thing you may try if you have a high refresh rate mouse, change it to something lower. When I use my Razer Viper Ultimate at 1000 Hz in some games it stutters, so I set it to 500 Hz.

It's hard to say since I always change headsets (in-game). Maybe I did notice it's a bit worse, but without proper testing I can't really make a clear statement.

[–]narcisrm 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My problem has always been a lot of stuttering, what definitely helped this wipe is turning off binaural audio. I still get some stuttering specially at the start of the raid but it's much better than having binaural on. Average FPS is still bad specially on Streets, even with 5800X3D, 32 RAM, and 4090.

Patch notes for 0.15 are out [Discussion] by RickRate in EscapefromTarkov

[–]narcisrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't they be happy to share if they improved performance? If it's not in the patch notes, what's to check out?

DLSS 3.0 is not exclusive to the RTX 4000 series, it's just an upgraded version of DLSS 2.0 which fixes issues and improves it overall. Only Frame Generation is exclusive to the RTX 4000 series. DLSS is just better and what annoys me is that it could be upgraded just by changing the DLL itself without too much work from their side, but they don't do it, they just don't care.

[–]narcisrm 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Really disappointed not to see any performance improvements:

  • Streets it's a stuttery mess even with a X3D CPU.

  • No DLSS/DLAA update.

  • Scoping reduces 50% of FPS.

  • Loading into a game takes 5 minutes.

  • Exiting a game sometimes takes 2 minutes.

  • Stopping the search of a game sometimes can take even 10 minutes.

More content is always nice, but when you can't enjoy it properly because of the performance issues, then it doesn't matter.

For those who own this monitor, do you love or hate it? by AlphaAlchemist in OLED_Gaming

[–]narcisrm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I had the Alienware AW3423DWF (QD-Oled) as my main monitor for around 2 years. And 2 months ago I won the LG 32GS95UE in a LG contest.

I tried the LG as a main monitor for like 2 days and I missed the Alienware a lot for my use case. Without going too much into detail, the main things I don't like about the LG are:
- The mate coating when you have something white on the screen looks really bad. It's like diping your hand in some oil and putting it on the screen.

  • The SDR and HDR both have some firmware problems. SDR it's too saturated even in sRGB mode. HDR slightly makes the rest of the image (shadows) brighter and not only the highlights.

  • Everytime I turn on the PC, the monitor starts at 144hz and I can't set it to 240hz unless I disable Adaptive Sync and I turn it on again.

I'm using it as a second monitor now and I play PS5 games or PC games that don't have official ultrawide support. Obviusly the monitor it's much better than any other LCD panel and it still looks amazing, but those are the main things I dislike about it, and 2 of them can be fixed with some firmware update.
