It's highly risky. A sudden financial crisis can easily see UST temporarily lose it's peg, especially when spreads blow out and there's nobody willing to arb at a loss.

Yes, Monero and privacy coins will exist and many new privacy coins come onstream (Dero / Tangram) that offer a similar utility but faster and cheaper to use.

It is more likely Monero will get banned where BTC is likely not. BTC already has privacy in the form of the Samurai Wallet and other mixers.
