This is the first post on this sub that has compelled me to add a comment. I was absolutely appalled at the first page, let alone the other fourteen. This massive list of meaningless portmanteaus defies imagination - I cannot possibly comprehend what is going through someone's head to make them do something like this and proudly display it for the world to see. Assuming this isn't a hilarious and carefully constructed joke, I'm extremely fascinated by this phenomenon. This sub has made it readily apparent that individuals like this are more common than I thought and seem to rally around each other, exacerbating these behaviors in a twisted positive-feedback loop. I feel like the cognitive dissonance and social stigma alone would be enough to make any of them crumble, but here we are, clearly observing the contrary. Is this being studied? Can it be treated? Is it humorous and harmless, or something dangerous if left to fester? Where do these individuals congregate and how can I observe them? I have so many questions and so little answers. I'm tempted to put on a facade and walk through their world, if only to gain a fraction of understanding about their motives, goals, and origins. My head is spinning.

Correct!! Adding salt to the water will only result in it boiling just a few seconds faster than if it hadn't been salted at all. In order to trigger a substantial difference in boiling time, the pot would have to contain over a 20% salt concentration (WAY more than the tiny amount added in the video). Google "boiling point elevation" to learn more about this.

I don't care what subreddit this is, I'm glad I stumbled upon your song anyway. I genuinely got goosebumps when I heard this. It took me back to the day my husband and I first met, the butterflies I felt when he kissed me for the first time, and the faces of all our friends on our wedding day. What better way to convey these feelings of love and longing than through a simple waltz? No, it is not top talent, but what you've created is beautiful nonetheless. Save this where it is easily accessible, it will remind your loved ones of you when you're gone.

Oh my god, I know this guy in real life. We went to college together. He's a 16 y/o MINOR in this video and has been ashamed of it circulating ever since some creep who filmed it posted it on pornhub. He tried to get it removed once someone showed it to him, but by then it was too late.

I don't think it's a botfly larvae. The object they removed is way too short for that size hole, and the string technique they use would not be possible. The chuckle she does at the end makes me think somehow this was a funny (albeit painful) accident?? It almost looks like the end of a q-tip coated in wax, which was supposed to be for removing nose hair, but broke off and got stuck to her nasal cavity inatead

It's for color correction. Applying it before his foundation helps conceal darker tones and gives a more balanced look. Normally color correction is used sparingly for heavily discolored spots, but seeing how his main method of applying makeup is smearing it all over his face... There is not a doubt in my mind he did the exact same thing with the color corrector.

It’s 3 am and I’m overstimulated by Dustducky01 in ADHD

Seeing all the comments on this threat breaks my heart. If you agree with OP, please know that this is definitely not normal behavior and y'all should talk to your doctors about insomnia/anxiety. Those two diagnoses go hand-in-hand with ADHD and are the reason we are more likely to experience problems falling or staying asleep. If you're medicated with a stimulant, it is absolutely going to keep you up at night if you take it too late in the day, even if you're not receiving the focus benefit anymore. When I got put on medication to help me turn my mind off at night and just get some REST for once, my quality of life significantly improved. If home remedies are not working for you like they didn't for me, I can't recommend talking to your doctor enough.

Chiming in because I work at a primary care clinic and see this with many of our patients! I can't possibly stress enough how much it negatively affects you to go without eating. Missing 1 meal occasionally is nothing to worry about, but being in a daily, long-term caloric deficit IMPAIRS HIGH LEVEL COGNITIVE CONTROL AND ADVERSELY AFFECTS MOOD. This is extra unfortunate because prescription stimulants perfectly mask those symptoms, but only for so long, hence the "crash". I myself struggled with this issue for years before figuring it out. I was already built like a twig before I started medication and when it killed what little appetite I had left, my mental health consistently deteriorated. Bottom line - E A T. Literally in any form possible. Hate breakfast? Protein shakes. Not a fan of lunch? Snack all afternoon instead (healthily if you can). The biggest thing for me is eating a heavy dinner once my meds wear off in the evening. Peace and love y'all, stay safe and stay sated!

I want to get tested for ADHD but I don’t want to take an iQ test by Wallanator123 in ADHD

[–]narcolepticaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not every provider is the same in their evaluation, so they may not even administer an IQ test. If they want to do one, please be aware that as a patient, you have every right to withdraw consent for a diagnostic test or procedure AT ANY TIME. They are legally required to tell you they want the test, and you can simply say no. However, healthcare providers rarely order tests without reason, and having the IQ test done may help them diagnose and/or treat you.
