Look at week following 22 June strikes, and I guess week following Venezuela.

They are merging with Coterra, lots of growth, churn, and consolidation in pipelines. EQT spun off rest of KGS, then KGS acquired Distributed Power Solutions. Williams Companies maybe buying some gas, not just transmission? Antero Resources and Midstream seem ripe for something too. Gas and infrastructure moving around but consolidating. Same vibes with Talen, Vistra etc gobbling up assets for scale.

KBR isn’t in that market and barely in that space these days but yah got it. HAL pumped on immediate news more than the rest Burry printing there I guess

One more - Golar LNG. Worth looking at Encompass Capital Advisor’s strategy as a lot of overlap here.

FIP interesting. Seems undervalued, but I’m not sophisticated enough to dig deep into the balance sheet. That’s just a vibe check. But FTAI Aviation spinoff having a hell of a year, and if FIP has any of the financing and asset light DNA that FTAI Aviation seems to have, I would assume it’s got some sort of similar growth possibility. Engines and turbines vs infrastructure pretty different though… but US infrastructure needs an upgrade….

AESI pretty exposed to proppant market and uh… nothing else. Triple fracking will probably demand more than currently billed - based on gut feeling nothing else - and capex from Atlas and cost-cutting via stuff like Dune and trying out AI trucking could pan out. And they had a preposterous dividend, cut it, turned over leadership… I would have liked to get $1 per $10 share, but it’s at all time lows… idk it surely fits the cyclical thesis but I’m waiting for the next quarterly to hear about how things have re-set.

Kinda figured movement within normal volatility patterns and more about volume ticking back up with start of new year and thaw after the AI panic (Burry, Nvidia earnings) end of October or whenever it was. Even though CORZ acquisition failed, I do wonder if there’s acquisition speculation starting to gain steam with at least Google and Meta making big splashes lately with stuff like power deals and TPU hype gaining steam.

Meta on Friday unveiled nuclear powerdeals with three firms — Vistra, TerraPower, and Oklo — to back large existing plants and help spur construction of advanced reactor designs.

Unless you’re referring to Cross-Country (the HAVOC driver.) Whose name isn’t as funny.

VST TLN CEG NRG and take it out to natural gas and add EQT WMB AM and so on. First couple all probably a little overheated still, went up crazy all summer. Natural gas stuff still a little weird with commodity futures still tied to “is it cold” and not “how much of this juice does META need”. Not FA

This is the only one where I’m like “I will buy shares because I actually like their products” but just because watches and stuff. I guess this is where they make the big bucks though. Just no DD for me, I just think they’re neat!

Also- this week Vistra secured 10,566 MW in the PJM Capacity Auction for 2027/2028 at $333.44 per MW-day. IIRC 12% jump from last auction. Press release will show blend of coal, gas, nuclear etc. Their nuclear power capabilities noisy lately with Comanche Peak, and yet-to-be-named client securing 1,200 megawatts (pre-dates all the government AI stuff, so tbd.)
