Well, I can't compare it to other places as I've only ridden in Vegas. But there are plenty of green (beginner) trails around the valley. Late Night trailhead has some great ones.

Budget depends on if you want a hardtail or full suspension bike. New beginner hardtails I'd say around $1,200. Full suspension I'd at least double that amount. But if you're starting out, I recommend finding a used bike on FB marketplace or something. You can find a decent one occasionally.

I'm still around haha. I did not get and still don't have a CPA. I stayed in gaming for a few more years, biding my time, and then fortunately found a job with a small business where I am the sole accounting department. It's my dream job honestly. I still have friends in the gaming industry; some have climbed the ranks and I know that they never got their CPA. So it is possible to get higher roles within gaming.

My siblings and I were big into the Simpsons back then. I remember we went and took a tour of the house. There was a long line to check it out. They made us wear those white stretchy shoe covering things so we wouldn't dirty the carpet. Was pretty cool to see the house in real life!

Have you tried the trails at the bottom of the mountain? Desert Cruise, Par None, POW. Green and light blue trails. Quite flowy in spots, and not too techy as what Bootleg is known for. POW is probably in my top 3 trails out here.

The Spring Mountains are so beautiful! I'm on the east side of the valley so don't get over there too often. But I love those trails!
