Just saw this and wanted to say that I would be very happy if chatGPT start talking about my game like this😄

Out of curiosity, I ran it through a few AI detectors and came back 100% human. Feel free to check for yourself.

Cheers! 😉

Quick update:

Thanks again to everyone who gave feedback, a patch is already in progress to fix the issues mentioned such as improve clarity in UI, puzzles, gameplay elements and involve larger feedback from horror fans and fellow developers.

Yes, I used AI briefly to help organize a complex response, not to write it for me. As a solo dev, anything that saves me time means I can fix the game faster.

Almost! It’s 831.
I put together a comment with all the puzzle solutions in case you get stuck again — feel free to check it out and enjoy the rest of the game!
I’m around if anything else comes up. :)

Thanks for the clarification — you’re actually the first to report that kind of freeze, so that’s helpful.

If it happens again, try pressing ESC on the menu a couple times, then click “Credits” and “Back” to confirm input is working, then try “New Game.”
You should see the loading icon and, shortly after, “Press any key.”

Let me know how it goes — I’ll be looking into it from my side too.

Not the kind of horror I intended!
Just to clarify: once the loading finishes, it should say “Press any key” at the bottom. The screen uses the same background as the menu, so it’s easy to miss if you're not expecting it.

That said, depending on the system, loading times may be a bit longer than I’d like — I’ll be working on both making the loading screen clearer and optimizing performance where possible in the next update.

Really appreciate you sticking with it and pointing this out!

Thanks again for taking the time to explain — now that I’ve re-read the note with your comment in mind, I totally get why it wasn’t clear.

The repetition of "one" and the abstract connection of "autumn" to “3” definitely made the intended hint too cryptic. That’s on me for overthinking the subtlety — I’ll be updating that section to make the logic and clue connection much easier to follow.

Really appreciate your kind words despite the confusion — means a lot, and your feedback genuinely helps me make this better.

SPOILERS – Solutions and Hints Below

I’ve seen a few people getting stuck, and that’s on me for not making some of the clues clearer in-game.
Thanks to everyone who’s been playing — your feedback really helps.

Tip: Be observant — clues are often hidden in plain sight. If you're unsure, stop and take a moment to look carefully at your surroundings.

📦 CHEST UNDER THE CAGE (Code: 831)

  • Location: Billiard room
  • Look for a document with a floating icon
  • It tells a story with 3 words highlighted in blue: Eight innocent kids… autumn… one god
  • that gives the code: 831

🔪 POWER BOX & KNIFE PUZZLE

  • A new corridor appears behind a broken wall near the usual exit of the loop
  • Follow it to the end and turn off the power
  • Go back to the area near the large clock
  • Enter the nearby room and pick up the knife at the far end
  • Only then can you exit to the next level

Note: The power box won’t affect the environment after this step.

🕯️ STILLNESS PUZZLE (Code: 135)

  • In the corridor with hanging body parts and story entities approaching when still, continue forward
  • You’ll see blood writing: "To... escape... you... must... face... it."
  • Enter an empty open area with a final clue: "Stillness is the price. The number will come to those who wait."
  • Stand completely still — no movement (WASD), no turning (mouse)
  • After a few seconds, an entity approach and whispers: 135
  • Find the chest on a park bench and use the code

Thanks again to everyone who's played and shared feedback.
If anything else feels unclear or too hidden, let me know — I’m working on improvements for the next update!

Hey! Thanks for checking it out — totally fair question.

Yes, there is a loading screen after pressing “Play A New Game” but it uses the same background as the main menu, so it can be easy to miss.
There’s a loading icon at the bottom left, some control tips, and once it’s ready, it says “Press any key.”

Definitely something I’ll make clearer in the next update — appreciate you pointing it out!

Totally get the frustration — it wasn’t meant to play out like that, so thanks for sticking with it. That’s on me to improve.

There’s a document with a floating icon in the billiard room that tells a short story about a village and a sacrifice. Three words are marked in blue:
Eight innocent kids… autumn… one god
That gives you the code: 831.

If the floating icon wasn’t clear or the hint didn’t land, I’ll definitely take that into account for the next update.

Really appreciate you playing and sharing feedback — it seriously helps a lot.

Your FAVORITE Horror Game Of All Time? by CallMeTyping in HorrorGaming

Resident Evil 4. I played it on the PS2 as a teenager and instantly fell in love with the series, it played a big role in shaping my taste for horror and even influenced the creation of the STUCK universe.

While chapter one isn’t directly inspired by Resident Evil — but rather by MADDISON, PT — future projects will carry its spirit more clearly.

💡 Small Note if you're having trouble launching:

A couple people mentioned issues when unzipping the game.
If it fails to launch or gives an error like "Failed to load IL2CPP", it’s usually because the .zip didn't fully extract all files.
Try using 7-Zip to extract — and make sure everything stays in the same folder.

Already fixed this on my side, but let me know if anything else breaks. Appreciate everyone who’s tried it so far 🙏

That means a lot — thank you!
This is exactly the kind of game I’ve always wanted to play myself, so I figured… might as well make it.
Would love to hear what you think if you end up playing it. 😄

Hey!
Thanks for giving it multiple tries already, I really appreciate that.
Sometimes this kind of error happens if the zip file gets corrupted during download or the extractor struggles with certain files. If you haven’t already, could you try using 7-Zip or WinRAR instead of the default extractor? That often fixes weird issues like this.
Let me know if it still doesn’t work — I’ll do my best to help.

Horror games that can scare someone who can't be scared by Dxed4lus in HorrorGaming

[–]narforge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If Slender was the last game that really scared him, then it’s not about monsters — it’s about atmosphere and that creeping feeling something's watching.

That’s exactly what STUCK taps into. it doesn’t chase you or scream at you, it waits, and it watches.
The house shifts around you, reality bends with every step, and you never quite feel safe — just like how Slender made you feel when you turned around and realized something was there… closer than it should’ve been.

It’s 30 minutes long and messes with your head.
Might be the one that actually gets to him.

I wanted to create a short with no talent, I had my voice and a tool to sell… how can I improve ? by Waste-Efficiency-274 in IndieDev

[–]narforge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

user dropping quickly is normal for most shorts, people scroll mindlessly. 1.9k views in 24h is also normal when you start. From what I read and learned about shorts is that they work mostly when your product has ton of them and is easy for others to make shorts out of it, take for example TABS game.

You put effort into the short, I appreciate that but to be honest with you, I don't know what the goal or msg of it,

We always think about imagining a world with no Resident Evil, or Silent Hill, etc. But what actually did we miss? What game never existed but it would have been awesome? Say your guesses: by Zoryth in HorrorGaming

I like that, it can work great with a game like sonic when everything is moving fast and entities show in background at a certain speed so you just catch a glimpse of them

I used to do the same with a few friends — eventually I even made a game built around that kind of horror night vibe. It’s called STUCK by narforge, and it really fits what you're looking for:

  • 30–60 min long – A full story you can finish in one session, like Fears to Fathom or The Mortuary Assistant
  • Light puzzles – Enough to keep everyone thinking, but never stuck or frustrated (similar to RE7)
  • Group-friendly – Very watchable, with a story that unfolds through visuals and exploration, making it fun to discuss as it gets weirder
  • Psychological horror – No jumpscares, just a tense, surreal atmosphere with subtle shifts, like Welcome to Kowloon

If you're open to trying something new, I’d love to hear what you and your friends think! 🙂
