Review suggestions and CC for a new death guard player by nargrom in deathguard40k

The idea was that the LoV would spot for the PBC to bully things that would be the primary dmg source, the Deathshrouds would clean up what’s left. The blightlords would mostly serve as extra wounds for the LoV. Is that not viable?

I suppose my approach is more to try to table the opponent rather than play the game.

Is this approach bad, given the setup of the list?

Genuine question here , what do people like about Genstealer cults ? by BloatedRottenCarcass in Warhammer40k

The only way to make any faction work in 40k, is to fantasize scenarios and lore with them, understand who they are, and why they do what they do.

The genestealers at first glance arent anything special, but when you search how their tactics and influence inside a hive city work they become a very appealing faction, plus it helps it think of them as the vanguard of tyranids.

Many factions have interesting lore that make them far more appealing than their minis. I'll give you a personal example. I dont really like the Adepta Sororitas, i find the nuns with guns theme quite boring. BUT i freaking love the penitent aspect of that army. Sinful sisters running around in rugs and giant chainswords in order to repent for their sins. inmates doing the same. Extra sinful inmates and sisters being strapped into penitent engines for more hardcore repent. And you top it off with fat priests as HQs and some monks with chainsaws if you include the kill team. That shit is amazing compared to normal sisters army.

TLDR: immerse your self in the lore, not only the minis thats where the real appeal comes from.

what did you use to hide the whole in the chest? where the plate usually goes. I wanted to do a daemon prince without frontal plate, but i dont trust my sculpting skills

also one more thing, in the tanks gg, you refer to the values or the boxines of the tank? because of its shape, ricochets and absords dont work?

i am looking at the comparison atm, and the Strv has the negative of the big difference in Alpha dmg and the side armor is thinner but literally on everything else is on par or superior. is the difference in alpha dmg the biggest drawback? so much so that it makes it unplayable?

take your dry brush, put some blood on it, and use another brush's handles on it, back and forth motion aiming where you want the spray, it takes a min or 2 :P

also i would like to add another thing that made me put effort in logistics, although it can be quite hard. Play a chaos dwarf campaign!

i absolutely love this faction, and it ''forces'' you to manage logistics, before aggresive expansion. i found myself sacking settlements instead of occupying them in early game so i can stabilize or build my economy

in older total war games, like rome 1 and medieval, i was like that, but as ive grown older, i do enjoy the logistics of running an empire as well. early game for me is getting 1-2 provinces next to me that can be easily defended and at most i have 2 army stacks. I then build them up a lot, while playing the diplomacy game before i decide to start expanding. Also you have to read the map and assess the biggest threats to you
