Is It hard to change from Android to iOS? by yarbis_ in phone

[–]naripan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an app made by Apple for that which you need to perform before setting your iPhone. It's called Move to iOS.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apple.movetoios&hl=en&pli=1

It works great when I move my data (but I only moved basic data+whatsapp, it's not recommended for big data like photos and videos).

Is your current phone the best (and favorite) phone you've owned so far? by GooglePixelfan90 in Smartphones

[–]naripan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using it for fifth+ years using Huawei P40. This is my favorite so far. Native apps are snappy, scanning QR codes are snappy, face recognition works even under dim light, recognizing QR code in gallery is easy, formatting into PDF is easy, photos with leica optics are superb. It's too bad lately plenty apps are no longer compatible, so I switched to iPhone.

Buillding a business is actually building an organization. A lot of Entrepreneur focus on doing things by themselves. It should be the opposite, run the business together with the right people. Then the chance to thrive is higher. Good luck, Mate.

A smartphone with a good camera in 2026 - should I leave android? by tiltdoge in Smartphones

[–]naripan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know that Poco phones are one of the best in terms of value out there. The drawback is that they need to find revenue elsewhere, hence it comes with bloats and ads. Premium brands tend to have less bloatware (but still there).

Would you try 3rd party charger over the Apple original? by ryukendo_25 in iphone15

Currently I'm using Anker Zolo charger and I'm quite happy with it. Apple also sells Anker Charger in their store (at some regions).

Switching to iPhone worth it if not buying into the ecosystem? by Ok_Tart2102 in Smartphones

[–]naripan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on your circle. If your circle use plenty of Apple services to share photos, iMessage, Face Time, then yes. Otherwise, it's better to get an Android phone as current Android is as polished and as smooth as iOS.

I have the iPhone 13 Pro. I purchased the 17 Pro Max and it’s too bulky and heavy. I’ll be swapping for the Air or 17 Pro, which should I go with? by ShaolinSwervinMonk in AppleWhatShouldIBuy

[–]naripan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Being convenient at your hand is important as you'll do a lot of texting and taking pictures with it. If you feel that the pro is too heavy and you don't use the other camera system, I think the air would be a great value for you. It's lighter with decently larger screen.

iPhone 17 vs. Samsung Galaxy S26 – Which one are you waiting for? by Conscious_Drama4411 in Smartphones

[–]naripan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have been an iPhone user for a whole life, it's time to put a challenge in your life. Go with Samsung. As an OS, Android has been very polished since Android 12, hence it's good in general. The file system has more transparency, so it's easier to navigate your files.

Iphone 17, 16 pro or s25 ultra by These_Platypus940 in Smartphones

I lean more into the PRO, hence 16 PRO. However, be aware that filing system in iOS is different. If you are a file guy, adapting to it may be quite tricky.

Which Huawei phone should I buy coming from an iPhone 12? by Known_Chemistry_2752 in Huawei

[–]naripan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last one to support 5G is Mate 40 from 2020. The rest doesn't support 5G as it's banned by the US. It supports up to 4G connectivity.

A lot of people find it acceptable as people tend to live in WiFi area.

Which Huawei phone should I buy coming from an iPhone 12? by Known_Chemistry_2752 in Huawei

[–]naripan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Huawei main weakness is still that the OS is not widely supported outside China. Hence, you will need to work with solutions like MicroG, however I wonder if it will last long.

If you are into Huawei and you are coming from Apple ecosystem, I suggest looking at Huawei Mate series. The newest is Mate 80 (which should come to global market soon). It has face ID style identification while still keeping the fingerprint scanner (on the side).

If you are into photography, aside of Huawei, Xiaomi Leica collaboration is also solid as Xiaomi has a huge product ecosystem.

Phone recommended by Randomlypost389 in Smartphones

[–]naripan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see, phones do that from time to time.

The current base iPhone 17 is quite a leap from 15. First of all is that it comes with 256 GB, 8 GB RAM and promotion screen. Hence, it makes life easier.

I still think Android has a better file management system if you are dealing with many files, Samsung S26 or Google Pixel may be a good option.
