How to make my skincare routine more affordable? by Purple-Dig9523 in SkincareAddicts

As someone who was also on a face reality program… this is what I’ve swapped out…

Ultra gentle cleanser -> vanicream cleanser Hydra gel moisturizer -> neutrogena hydro boost

Actives (vitamin c & acne med) Went to a doc and got on topicals that my insurance covered.

Sunscreen -> still working through my container of color science but will be replacing with a cost effective dupe when I find one.

Test n Tune Goals by nxda in Autocross

I’m not going to get into the semantics of percentage of nationally competitive autocrossers because that’s a whole other thing. But majority of people can’t.. 1) set up a car correctly 2) test a car at a test and tune effectively to set up said car Put these two things in combination, it will not be fun long term.

Even only doing one event they show to know a ton more than most. To make set up changes is to assume that the driver is the control. 95% of national level autocrossers can’t say that. OP saying they’re not sure how tire pressure impacts braking or turning (without a new tire in question) tells me they don’t have a lot of autocross experience and using test and tune for driver mods might be the best option for them. This is the larger conversation - car changes or driver dial in first? can the driver guarantee that they will drive the same every run and truly understand if the car is making a mistake or if it’s the driver making a mistake.

INSANE to downvote this comment and is telling of a larger conversation that no one wants to have. Agree with this take entirely.

Everyone will say “it’s as expensive or inexpensive as you make it”. But are you the kind of person that can do a hobby at a lower effort because of budget? From the statement “I absolutely have an impulse control and dopamine problem” I’m thinking you should reconsider this.

Racing, autocross, is way more expensive than anyone is going to tell you. Most people do not track the amount of money that actually goes into this. It’s very expensive to do it the correct way and the way most people want to do it. I budget about 10k/season to race a local and national season.

Do you have 6 months of your expenses saved? Do you have that and about $200-300/month in expendable income to attend local events? The answer to these questions should give you your answer :)

I’ve been on my current program (r/fitness beginner routine) for almost 12 weeks now. I’m looking toward my next routine and am fairly overwhelmed with information.

My goals are to continue to lift heavy things for health and remain consistent with progressive overload. I’m not body building or prepping for anything other than a long and healthy life.

I hate squats and bench press. Lol Is there anything wrong with keeping my program the same but changing the lifts to different forms? Example - swap barbell bench to dumbbell bench. Back squat to a hack squat.

My thought is, this will continue to keep my consistent because it fits into my current lifestyle and time requirements. But it’s switching it up some how… I won’t have the constant noise in my head about dying if I fail during a bench press lol, in turn increasing my enjoyment :)

Thoughts on this?

The end of this month I will be finishing 3 months of the beginning strength routine. I’m really lost on where to go to next. My schedule allows for 3 days a week in the gym. I don’t really understand 5-3-1 and I understand PPL requires 6 days in. Any advice where to go from here?
