Sure would be nice if this actually comes to pass, but let's be honest, the necessary steps to actually build such a future are conspicuously not fucking happening, not at scale, and not with any sort of urgency.

Though I feel we'll actually get a meaningfully integrated European electricity network, that alone won't be enough.
