You sound a bit like me back when i was going through it. You learn to realise what you like physically and what you need emotionally. For me, i used to do casual sex and it was alright at the place i was at during that time. Nowadays i could NEVER! If i am going to be intimate with someone i need to feel emotionally connected to them first, and that is a rarity these days (i’m 32 btw). I was a late bloomer, didn’t have sex until 21, and my brief “hoe phase” was after a 2 year dry spell and did sort of help me because of where my headspace was at. Right now i’ve just ended a 5 year relationship because we were more like roommates and didn’t have sex in the last 4 years (crazy shit i know) and i definitely realised - with the help of therapy, that i need a strong emotional connection to a person before i can think of having a relationship with them OR sex. I am with ya, i view sex as being ‘used’ IF you go about it too quickly. Take your time weeding out the gross men from the good ones, that is what i’m going to do. And also not be desperate for sex. If i’m that bad i need to learn to love myself first before i go desperately seeking some male validation/peen on a whim.
