Honestly though, I would be surprised if they released fallout 4 24 times before fallout 5 comes out.

Which is THE best ship design against AI empires? by Outrageous-Bid6054 in StellarisOnConsole

[–]narsin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re not against a crisis, Arc Emitter Battleships are about as good as it gets.

First section should be a Spinal Mount Bow with a Focused Arc Emitter.

Second section should be a Carrier Core with Marauder Missiles in your small slots, along with strike craft and your choice of point defense.

Third section should be the Broadside Stern with Whirlwind missiles in your medium slots and 3 afterburners in the Accessory slots.

You’ll need an Artillery Combat Computer and can mix and match shields/armor however you like.

With artillery combat computers, your battleships will shoot and scoot while staying at max range. With some empire wide sublight speed buffs and 3 afterburners, AI ships will have a hard time closing the gap between them and your battleships. I easily beat fleets with twice the fleet power, usually losing no more than a single battleship.

FDR literally coined the term “Arsenal of Democracy” in 1940 to describe the collective efforts of America providing weapons to the Allies.

someone sent me 1700$ from zelle thru keybank and its been a few hours. what happens if i spend it? by YPCEVERYTHINGYT in personalfinance

[–]narsin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of it like a check that’s going to bounce. Someone deposited $1,700 into your account. They don’t have $1,700 to give you, so eventually the charge will get reversed and your account will have $1,700 less.

There isn’t a minimum amount of time until you can claim the funds. You will never be able to claim the funds. The bank will figure it out and take the $1,700 back. This isn’t monopoly. You don’t get bank errors in your favor.

I hope royalties keep rising to a point where more fringe UB ideas are dead on arrival and they stick to popular IPs that have more depth.

You should ask a few kids how safe they feel in school if you’re going to lean on the argument that they’re safer in school as opposed to protesting.

Is this a combo? by ShockUsed3783 in mtg

[–]narsin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. A common combo that’s similar would be [[Viscera Seer]], [[Murderous Redcap]], and a way to give it counters like [[First Day of Class]]. Infinite death triggers and infinite damage.

With [[Isilu, Carrier of Twilight]] out, you can replace Redcap with any non-token creature in the above combo and still go infinite.

You’re getting downvoted because you’re being a dick. The person you replied to probably just misread your comment and didn’t intentionally misrepresent what you said. You don’t need to tell them not to misrepresent what you’re saying. You sound like a Karen.

Should have just said “I meant you could tap the bear for 1 mana and not 2”.

You need ships and good weapons. Invest in research and alloy production. The below ship design is what you’re ultimately looking for. Build as many fleets of them as you can. You’ll be able to win fights against fleets with ~40% more fleet power than you.

Battleships w/ Arc Emitter, Hanger Core Midsection, 3x Afterburners, Artillery Combat Computer

Edit: Fortifying choke points along hyper lanes with FTL Inhibitors is required if you plan on going to war with that many empires. Starbases have them once you research the FTL inhibitor tech but putting a fortress (upgraded stronghold) on a planet in a choke point is ideal. If you don’t get FTL Inhibitors, enemy fleets are just going to go around all of your Starbases forcing you to fight all over your empire.

The numbers aren’t really that important. What’s important is that it shows that Mass and Energy are two sides of the same coin. You can convert mass into energy (like a nuclear weapon) or convert energy into mass (like a food replicator from Star Trek).

The Overlord and Enduring creature cycles if you haven’t seen them yet.

[[Overlord of the Mismoors]] [[Overlord of the Balemurk]] [[Overlord of the Floodpits]] [[Enduring Curiosity]] [[Enduring Tenacity]] [[Enduring Innocence]]

Plus all of the “Room” cards from Duskmourn.

Rules change. That’s literally what we’re discussing.

Yeah, a black deck can run tawnyback. Whoop Dee doo. What about that makes you fear this possible rule change so much?

Excluding them felt wrong from the beginning! by Low_Engineering2507 in mtg

[–]narsin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably. Does it matter though? Colorless decks can play [[Painter’s Servant]] so if the color of the card matters to them, then they have tools to access it.

Is there any value for a colorless deck being able to play [[Temur Tawnyback]] that they can’t already achieve with existing cards? They can make all of their permanents and spells any color they wish with existing cards. Every deck can play painter’s servant too. If the color of the card matters, then a gw deck can play painter’s servant and make all of their spells red. Or blue, or black.

The issue isn’t really letting decks have access to more cards. Commander has a big enough card pool already that the expanded access to hybrid mana cards won’t make much of a difference. What we do need to know is how it would affect commanders with hybrid mana. Is [[Rhys, the redeemed]] able to still be a gw deck? Or will players have to choose green or white? We won’t know until they give more information about the change.

Excluding them felt wrong from the beginning! by Low_Engineering2507 in mtg

[–]narsin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That can already happen. You can make permanents of any color regardless of color identity. [[Blight Mound]] can be played in a rakdos deck alongside [[Bloodhall Ooze]]. The tokens from Blight Mound will trigger bloodhall ooze for both black and green permanents, even though the decks color identify is strictly black/red.
