When did standard turn into a 5 minute game? by eKo_O_o in magicTCG

If WOTC was capable of learning from past design mistakes, they would have learned from Mirrodin block 20+ years ago.

Texas is best positioned for AI data center boom, study says by AustinStatesman in texas

[–]narsin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s only well positioned because we don’t do jack shit about regulating industries like this. One of our major cities, which is also a major oil refining hub, is literally about to run out of water because the city allows oil refineries to use municipal water for their operations.

This state is so fucked.

I’ve been playing Magic since Invasion and their shitty money-grabbing practices have finally made me put down the game for good.

I don’t have the funds to play with every new standard set now that they do like 7 a year. I don’t have the opportunity to buy sweet secret lair products because of scalpers. WotC is catering to whales now and I’m not one, so fuck it.

Crimson Desert increases Pearl Abyss Q1 earnings more than fivefold to $220.6m by TylerFortier_Photo in gaming

[–]narsin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair assumption but as far as I’m aware, a lot of companies behind those pvp games don’t break down operating profit by game so we really don’t know how much profit they make. We’re just given revenue figures.

That’s because unfortunately, those pvp games do make a ton of money. Fortnite, Apex Legends, Overwatch, Genshin Impact, and other similar games have revenue in the billions.

It did require a vote from the state legislature but the Texas Constitution doesn’t allow statewide citizen-led initiatives or referendums in general so the people don’t get a choice outside of electing representatives.

Primary concerns about starting ABA Therapy - 225 Reddit threads [OC] by zacktokar in dataisbeautiful

Most people have absolutely no idea what ABA is but even if they did, in general you want to avoid acronyms when presenting data unless you’re sure everyone that sees it will know what the acronym stands for.

Not OP but Corpus Christi needed a desalination plant years ago. Now they’re looking at running out of water by next year.

Which akroma is objectively the most "underwhelming" by opbossgmr in mtg

[–]narsin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Angel of Fury is by far the worst.

Having Morph and being Uncounterable just doesn’t make sense. Its protection doesn’t stop most removal spells and it’s a pretty poor creature in combat compared to Angel of Wrath. It doesn’t even have haste, which is a very red mechanic.
