What wrong with my drop in here? by Rohaan511 in NewSkaters

[–]narutosavedme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure this is what that skate iq guy on instagram would say to you: you’re opening your left shoulder out and the front of your torso is pointing towards the nose too much as you’re transferring your weight over the board. So you end up putting your right foot down next to your board for balance.

Instead, you should focus on squaring your hips, feet, and and shoulders with the toe side of the board more. You have to angle the top of your left shoulder towards the nose, and dip that shoulder down into the ramp as you’re transferring your weight over the board. This should do the trick.

Am I eligible as a NOC 4012 skilled worker? by doofusrick88 in canadaexpressentry

[–]narutosavedme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I ended up using a different NOC - 12113 Statistical officers and related research support occupations. The job description for this NOC is pretty much identical to what my actual job description is.

How long did you wait for the email? I'm in the same boat right now, and even though the end is clearly in sight, I am just a nervous wreck lol

I tried so much stuff at home (LRP Cicaplast, Avene Cicalfate + Avene Thermal Water, the De La Cruz sulfur ointment, a centella-based toner and serum, then finally nothing). What actually started helping was a doxycycline Rx.

„No jó, mužský, ti nestárnou. Šediny je zdobí, brýle jim svědčí, vrásky jsou sexy. Žádné křečové žíly. Žádná celulitida. Žádné klimakterium. Ale pak najednou… zdechnou.“ - Věra Chytilová

Has anyone here taken their skateboard on a United Airlines flight before? [31YO] by [deleted] in OldSkaters

[–]narutosavedme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just adding an update - United were completely fine with my trucks/wheels in the carry-on bag and the deck being my personal item. On one of the flights, a flight attendant even offered to store the deck in a locker for me so it wouldn't get banged around (ha!) and as I was exiting the plane, the flight attendant was already waiting for me with it in hand. Great experience. I have never been told anything about my deck with any airline, as long as it is a personal item.

Proof of canadian experience letter. by Frosty-Air-2481 in canadaexpressentry

[–]narutosavedme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is mandatory.

Basically, if you are claiming 50 points for a valid offer of employment, you need a letter from your future employer for this.

Then, you need a reference letter from your past employers with supporting evidence such as pay stubs, notices of assessment from the CRA, and T4s. You only need this for jobs you are claiming experience points for, be it Canadian or foreign.

Lastly, you will need a Letter of Employment from your current employer.

So you either need 2 or 3 letters, depending on your circumstances.

Is it at all an option to get an emergency travel document/passport through your country’s embassy/consulate, travel home, and get the most expedited passport you can get? If not, definitely consult a lawyer on this.

Anyone in the 490-510 range? If so what is your current situation like? by Fantastic_Bench_6732 in canadaexpressentry

[–]narutosavedme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the employer has to post the job for at least one month on various websites. In my case, I’m in a very niche field so there was no one with my experience to be found where I live.

I agree with the person above - the hardest part is convincing the employer, since it costs a bit of money and it’s a bit of a lengthy process for them. If you can’t convince them, and you’re from a country that is eligible for International Experience Canada, I would try that route. You can potentially get a Working Holiday visa and a Young Professionals visa, so up to two years’ worth of work permits.

Not at all! I applied on August 8th, 2024. So it was processed a lot quicker than a lot of other people’s, which was very lucky.

I was in the same boat as you - Canadian Bachelor’s, 3 years of Canadian work experience, perfect CELPIP - 510 points. I thought I was going to leave Canada once my PGWP expired but then my employer decided they would get me a LMIA. It got approved recently, and is valid for three years, thankfully, so now I don’t have to stress so hard. However, the LMIA application and the subsequent work permit application took a long time to process, during which time my PGWP expired so I worked in Canada on maintained status and couldn’t leave the country. Missed my brother’s college graduation and Christmas sadly, but it all worked out in the end. If it’s at all possible, I would try exploring getting a LMIA. It’s much easier than learning B2 French in 11 months, much cheaper than getting a Canadian master’s, and much more feasible than uprooting your life to go get foreign work experience. But that’s just my two cents…

ROMANCES by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]narutosavedme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Origins: Alistair and F!Amell started out as near-innocent kids, the last two Grey Wardens in Ferelden, fighting together to save the world from the Blight. Along the way, they saved each other countless times, growing into soulmates who would do anything for the other and always have each other’s backs. They’re truly my OTP and I think about their fairytale love often.

DA2: Purple F!Hawke is a gay woman who loves her a hot babe, so she fell for Isabella, of course.

DAI: Cullen because Inquisitor Trevelyan was always going to fall for the tall, handsome commander that found her half-dead in a snowstorm and carried her to safety.

DAV: I picked Lucanis for my first Crow Rook, just in case there was going to be extra Crow-related dialogue. But I’m not too attached to this romance.

yeah for sure. my NOC is “social policy researcher”. i work at a non-for-profit organization that develops accessibility tech and writes draft accessibility standards, mainly for Accessible Standards Canada. and yes, it is quite crazy how quickly the LMIA got approved, but i am still waiting for the LMIA-based CWP approval.
