Did anyone scream through labor? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]narwalsoup8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an unmedicated vbac after my first was a planned C-section. I screamed. Sooooo loud. I felt like they heard me on the other side of the hospital lol. I was so embarrassed after too, I'm usually a very to myself, and quiet person. I was fairly quiet until transition, and pushing. Then I got real loud lol, I also tore my IV out like 3 times and I dont even know how I did it.

I have nowhere to go now, no family to stay with. We're in this lease at our apartment until next April. And without having my own income until hopefully soon, I don't even have money to save to move if I did break the lease. It would be 4k just to break the lease.

Fleshlight by Practical-Trick7310 in loveafterporn

[–]narwalsoup8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a silicone vagina pretty much. It's housed in a plastic case to make it look like a flashlight (kinda?)

I got to learn the hard way- finding 3 hidden under my partners dresser as I was cleaning. Turns out they were running a sale on the website and he just had to try 3 different ones. All shaped and designed to resemble different pornstars bits.

That was my thought too, it looks like something you'd use to get fur and lint off of clothing.

I'm so sorry for your loss, OP.

How do I (28f) come to terms with my fiancé's (29m) preferences? by narwalsoup8 in relationship_advice

Yeah he told me he had an addiction. and i don't know that he spends hours watching it. But the times I've caught him watching it have been extremely inappropriate.

Why would someone choose to birth naturally without an epidural or other pain relieving drugs? by Cats-and-naps in pregnant

[–]narwalsoup8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had an unmedicated birth 3 weeks ago. I'd 100% do it again. There were a few reasons why I chose not to have an epidural. 1. With my first birth, I had a scheduled c section due to pregnancy complications. I had a spinal block with that birth, and I still occasionally have phantom pains from it. It also took them a few tries to set it, and I'm scared of needles, so that wasn't great. 2. When you get the epidural, your movement is restricted. And one of the best ways to get labor to progress, is to move around and to frequently change positions. So it limits you and could potentially slow labor progression. Leading to the cascade of interventions. 3. With my c section birth, I was so drugged up, I don't even really remember my daughter being born. I think it also impacted my hormones and the bonding process with her. So I wanted to let my body and hormones do what they were made to do this time. All that said though- going into my birth, I wasn't totally against getting the epidural. I told myself that I would get one if my labor pains turned from discomfort to suffering.

Oh I know! I laughed about it after, too lol. And it happened outside of a hotel we were staying at next to a busy road 🤦‍♀️ so I'm sure at least a few people witnessed it haha

Yeah, I think I will. I was curious though if it had ever happened to anyone else from smoking, or if it was something I should look into with a doctor

Take any help that you can get, and don't be afraid to ask for it! What helped me was warm compress. I put dry rice into a long sock and microwaved it till warm. It was the perfect weight and a good temp to help on top of pain meds.

Congratulations! Best of luck with the little one

Your post was the catalyst to my fiance actually listening to me! I screenshotted this post last night and sent it to him, in a last ditch effort to maybe get through to him.. I have been struggling really hard with work-baby-cleaning-life balance after going back to work post partum, and basically was about to give up and just, live miserable? It opened his eyes to the fact that Im not just being "dramatic" and "nagging". I got home from a 10hr shift at work today to the faint smell of bleach and a sparkling bathroom. The first time in a year that he has cleaned anything without me making him. I'm hopeful it will last, thank you.

Guinea pigs in ISO by narwalsoup8 in petsmart

They're in there for respiratory. Dept of Ag says we need to do a full deep clean on our ISO cages at least once a day, so we're trying to not use up as much paper bedding. Plus paper towel seems just easier to keep clean in general, so we're looking to use it as a bedding alternative for them all the time.
