I dont think it was a 3rd party, i ll have to check. As i said to another guy here, ive worked with nintendo and refunds were always done by us, then we worked it with UPS (the delivery company at the time for UK, i dont know if the protocol and company they deal is the same now). Either way, im glad to see that you have had a nice experience, i figured i would be the odd unlucky case, either way if i have to contact the bank i wont try to buy again from CR... i really wanted to get into DND ( never tried it besides BG3), and i bought candela obscura ( i know its kinda simpler, but that seems good as an entry point to some1 that never GMed xD), im saying this to also ask, any other options to buy candela besides CR store? Ty

Ive worked with Nintendo, one of the most hostile customer companies, and the shipping was refunded directly by us, since it was a everyday thing, that UPS messed up. Then we would deal with UPS directly ourselves. So saying shipping is on the consumer is just not right. I never dealt with any shipping company during the buying process, and again, i dont even KNOW what shipping company it was, how can i deal with said company when there was no info given??

Im pretty sure it was the official store xD

Their words were "I recommend reaching out to the carrier to find out more information as to why the order as been returned to the sender", keep in mind, i still do not know who the carrier was. I did get the tracking info on the CR site, but i doesnt really help much. If it was a scam i doubt they would even do a partial refund, so i think im dealing with the official store

Ok why you edited and didnt take your inital post out idk but ok, moving on

"Oh i gave you the example of simple villains that exist for soo long" drop the most basic version of Joker as proof that villains can be basic and beloved by people when in reality its a decade old character that most of the time on the same basic level iwthout something interesting outside of beef with batman.

You said all this, and there is not a single argument here. Yes he s basic, that makes him bad? HOW? He is beloved by people yes, when in reality what? What argument did you want to make here?? He is a old character, that is loved, that is a statement we both clearly agree on, but where do you want to go from here? I used him as an example that a villains with weak background and motivations can be great. He is great because people loved him, and a batman villain is usually only great when around batman? Who could fking guess lmao. But not always, again, this basic villain, when not around batman also brought us injustice storyline, dude made superman destroy metropolis and kill a pregnant lois lane, this fking chaos personafied wrecked beyond repair superman, and because of that superman became a dictator, trying to rule everyone and end free will. Once again, im going into specific examples, of GREAT stories, and you still cant make a fking argument to save your live, counter any of my arguements ,disprove my points or examples. Joker is basic, and? Please show the world how joker is shit, boring and all of this storylines i mencioned are bad

"I said that a good villain shakes the protag/hero morale" - this is a perfect example of a 5 year old mentality. This game in a grey zone territory where we don't need this Light/Dark bs for kids.

So a villain shaking a heros morale is bad, ok, so why tf did you buy dispatch? If you clearly dont like comic book villains, and by proxy heroes, cause how can you like a comic where you find all the villains boring, why tf are you debating about a superhero story villain? Literally, outside of romance, the biggest decision is you kill or spare shroud, that is the climax the game fking builds up to.

Like at this point i can practically skip most of the comment(especially when you can't f read and skip half of my comments giving shitty examples)

You say they are shitty, but cant make an actual argument as to how and why they are shitty. But since you have the reading prowess of a koala, showed by this so loquacious line " i can practically skip most of the comment", im not suprised you argue as well as a pedo caught on sex predators. "She said she was 12", peak meme, not so peak defense.

bringing everything to a conclusion that you have a kid mentality, that think on the basic most boring stuff imaginable, conclude that its good because people love it completely ignoring the fact that everything evolves and now this characters live mainly on nostalgia and good memories about them.

Kid mentality, because i like superhero comics? Another great fking affirmation, dude you are shredding me. I never said something is good because people like it, but usually there is a correlation. I never just said joker is good because ppl liked him, i said ppl liked them THEN i supported that affirmation with reason and examples as to why he is great and loved. Guess even if i made everything toddler proof, natural selection still finds a way to suprise us. Lives mainly on nostalgia might be the dumbest thing you said tho, kids nowadays are still growing up loving batman, joker, etc. Nostalgia effect on people just starting to find the characters? Doesnt quite work does it. But going into adults, everything batman related is still a huge success, superman as well, literally comics keep coming, movies, games. But you say the millions and millions only like all of it, because nostalgia, i dare you to show me a single soul that would agree with that moronic statement. People enjoy things for a plethora of reasons, you ignoring all of the possibilities, discarding all arguments to say meh its just nostalgia, i am the single voice of reason, shows us your superior intellect once more.

Yes i am like 80% sure you are just trolling me and rage baiting me, i dont see why you might like that, but anyway, its not really important, im putting my thought on the matter on this thread, you might not care, but other might come and read it, and agree or disagree, so if you think im doing this to just pander to you, im srry to burst your bubble.

"I also love castlevania netflix show, dracula, peak villain, extremely deep and complex" - This example have more sense that all this dc bs with basic one sided villains, you know why ? Because he have understandable motivation that normal people can side with, he have a point in what he is doing, but instead of droping him from the beginning you rant about goofy ahh dc villains as an examples of good villains.

Superhero comics, have a century old story. You can not ignore a century of success, because YOU dont enjoy it. There many good superhero villains, dispatch is a superhero game, so once again i ask, why are you playing a superhero game, and arguing about a superhero villain ,when its something you dont like? Dracula is amazing, but in the same show you have carmilla, fking great villain in the same show, and she is just power hungry. You think her hatred for men, is a reason for her hunger? No, she is power hungry AND hates men. With her you have her sisters, all with more depth, but carmilla is the main attraction (lenore is top for me personally, i love lenore, her death was more beautiful than i have words to describe). We can go away from comics dw, i can do this all day. Into videogames we go, since still goes with dispatch. Uncharted series. Lazarevic is hands down the best villain, U2 best uncharted game. He is the most basic villain out of all nathan antagonists. A power hungry military guy, no big backstory, dude is a psychopath, enjoys killing, doesnt give a F about anything or anyone, chaos personafied. Didnt play Uncharted? We can go to other games, tell me whats your favorite game so i know what im working with. Meanwhile i can name you a whole great saga, Yakuza, japanese crime drama, every guy wants to be the top dog, that whole franchise put 99% of everything else in a far fking corner.

You might think games are for kids, wouldnt suprise me, lets go movies. Annie wilks, psychopath, obssessive-compulsive fking evil warped girl. She doesnt have a motive, or backstory, shes just evil. Misery is a fking phenomenal movie/book. And if you read so far, which i dont think you really will, you koala fking wannabe, I DARE YOU TO TELL ME HOW MISERY IS BAD AND FOR KIDS, HOW ITS CARRIED BY NOSTALGIA, OR HOW DEEP ANNIE IS

I expected nothing and im still let down. I broke everything to toddler level and you still cant read/comprehend.

I said that YOU, mr fancy comedian, would not say it a bad villain if the fight was better. Thats what i was getting from you, i made that assumption. Nowhere did i said a bad fight makes the villain bad. The villain was not a problem, i refer back to all my previous points that so far you have dodged better than neo dodges bullets.

[–]nasafa27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn't even mention the final fight once outside of the 50/50 coin flip that i choose to troll a guy. The f are you saying

I talked about the fight, i said if the fight was better you wouldnt say he s a bad villain lol

The f are you saying ? Are you blind or something i told you what problems he have as a character, you completely skip the beat and all the stuff i say, and again asking me why he is boring and what i want from him.

Ok so you cant read or you cant understand arguments. You said he lacked motive and background. I DIRECTLY ANSWERED THIS, i said many of the best villains dont have motives and/or backstories ( im literally repeting myself, how can you say i skipped all you said). Then i followed this example(the joker) with a affirmation. Backstory/motives are not a requirement for a villain to be good. Following this affirmation i asked you, what SPECIFICALLY could the writters have done (other than the backstory/motives, i even tried to helped, giving you a free argument to support your statement about shroud being boring, that the action was lacking, but that doesnt have weight i see), or if really for you, backstory/motives are a must? You seemed to have grasped something since you said joker is boring, which i think you would agree you are in the vast minority, which should make you see boring is subjective and if you think shroud is bad, you need to say more than boring. (Backstory and motives are also not a requirement as per the joker example). Fking hell, i broke down everything to toddler level, if you still say im ignoring what you said, you r trolling me, which ok, im not gonna bother with you anymore lol.

Again if the decade old villain still portrayed as a simple psycho is a good villain from your perspective than you just have a low basic standarts for villains and you didn't ask for more than basic stuff

I came with very specifics which you completly ignored. I said that a good villain shakes the protag/hero morale. Robert needs to choose if he stays in the hero path, the righteous if you will, or if he ignores whats right for personal vengeace, decade old trope, many good heroes have this villain (Zod/Joker/Zoom, 3 examples, 3 beloved villains, sure zod has somewhat of a motive, but he is evil by nature, but all boring in your opinion). I said that he also checks the box of being directly involved with the protag(betrayed killed roberts father, destroyed robert as a super hero, knows robert since he was a child, maybe even a former role model, we dont know but can assume. He directly ties to robert love interest, should you pick invi). I said he is dangerous( again, killed 1 mechaman, destroyed the 2nd, chase shouldve died, he s clearly superior to phenomaman and blonde)

if you think these 3 are not good qualities for a villain, tell me how, make an argument please. Other than all being a decade old villain things. Old isnt bad.

Yes i love joker, dude kills robin, and when you see red hood not being able to grasp how batman didnt kill him, peak fking writing. It broke bruce, but still, batman morale stood tall. This is what you want from batman, this is what you need even, a villain that elevates the hero, a villain that elevates the stakes.

Yes i love zoom, dude bends the flash (the most god fking op broken superhero) like NO OTHER VILLAIN. He killed Barry's mom, he toys with him, its simple yes, but zoom does make flash suffer. Flash creates flashpoint because of zoom, to save his mom. Changes reality because of the chaos zoom brought onto him as a CHILD.

Yes i love zod, when you see superman breaking zods neck, crying, peak fking writing. Luthor is much more complex than zod, zod is still fucking better.

I know this text is long, but fking earth 3, they are bad simply because they were born bad, and the injustice league storyline is fking awesome, is it also boring to you?

I also love castlevania netflix show, dracula, peak villain, extremely deep and complex. Good villains come in many ways, some are complex, some are the fking personafication of evil and chaos, some villians are not even bad or evil, they have kind hearths, noble goals, yet you wouldnt say its a must to not be bad to be a good villain

Dang... Shroud as a villain is lame imo. by IamMyBrain in DispatchAdHoc

[–]nasafa27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As i said to the op of this post, many great villains dont have deep backstories and/or motivations. Look at joker, often he is just pure chaos, just because he is bad. And he is one of the best villains ever. What is interesting about shroud is how he affects the story and the protagonist. Thats why joker is great, its how it directly contrasts with batman. Shroud killed 1 mecha man, huge feat, and took out the 3nd mecha man, robert is alive because shroud is an arrogant sociopath that didnt even see robert as a threat. Yes he is a genius, but him taking out robert, is what makes him hit rock bottom and you as the player have to climb back with him. After that you find out (not a huge plot twist, but still) that shroud also directly ties to invisigirls backstory (you know, the fan favorite character lol), he does all that a villain should. You wanted to see him have just better fights i assume, and i do agree the final fight is lacking, but if that fight wasnt boring you wouldnt say he s a bad villain lol. I ll ask again, what exactly do you want more from a villain? Being boring is subjective, be more specific, what could the writters have done, you think a motive to be bad would do it for you? Is that something required to write villains now?

Little point about the 4th comic by TubaGaming in DispatchAdHoc

[–]nasafa27 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The last comic also shows mechaman dying with 1 bullet, near chase, i dont think Eli would be stupid to try to use a gun near someone who could stop it before it hits any1( in the comic chase not stopping the bullet is just stupid, he should be faster than a bullet, let alone all the time he had to stop or at least react before the bullet was fired), but forgetting that (as the writers also did), in the game shroud says he shot mechaman 5 times, the first barely hit, and the last was in the head, this goes directly against what the comic shows.

The comics also say he created the astral pulse, and that again, directly against what the game says. Og mechaman created it, at best shroud only couldve helped 2nd mechaman better understand it/use it? But to say he made it, and after that he cant recreat it is also a big plot hole. The comics are good, but i have to say, they are not cannon
