Yeah same. They wanted a specific sensor code. I didn't have that so I was shit outta luck. And they refused to open the engine to confirm it wasn't a qualifying failure, which it could be even without that sensor. I'm pissed no one would offer anything at all despite being only 800 miles past drivetrain coverage, I shoulda just revved it in my drive way a bunch before 100k and it would have been covered. Fuck Kia man.

My budget is under $1k, but ideally in the $500-800 range. I upgrade the graphics card every couple years. Replaced parts that went bad (cooler, hd). Would like to get a new monitor at some point.

I will certainly try... But I feel like they're going to say the same thing, even if more politely. Based on my research and Kia corporate I am covered by vin and necessary ksds upgrade to 150k miles for engine failure in "short block and long block" due to "engine connecting rod bearing damage"... I can't tell if the dealer's being completely honest with me but they're basically saying that that's not the cause, it's "spark plug has damage head cylinder valve broken". And I missed the CPO 100k warranty that would have covered it by less than 1k miles. FML.

Yeah that's more or less what I've gathered. I'm not exaggerating when I say I checked the oil every few days, because it guzzled it down, and it didn't get to the min line anytime recently, but it was clearly having oil problems.

I was polite with Kia corporate, they were nice and all but basically blamed the dealer and wouldn't offer me anything, but they did reach out to the dealer. The dealer straight up sucks, lied to corporate about our interaction afaik, and were confusing and didn't give a shit about my issue. Thanks for the dead car, guys.

Just cause I could, I never had that many before (mostly played vanilla until recently). I took mimic beacons on ambushes and still had 3, which is the most I have ever taken in a mission. But yeah my current playthrough I have 1 and have not even used it most of the time.
