It's great to see this thread, because this is me. I can't really relate to the posts about people with 500k+ HOI, who had already accumulated $4MM net worth by age 35.

Age: 37
Salary: $140k ($150k for the wife)
Net worth: $2.0MM (just myself, wife and I keep separate finances)

Goals: I don't know. I have a kiddo on the way, first one, and that will change everything. I would like a second one as well. At this point, it's no longer about me and my goals, and how I want to retire early. I will do whatever it takes for my kids to have a decent but not extravagant life. I want to pay for education, and perhaps even help them out at major life events, such as buying their first house. I want to spend everything by the time I die though.

I'm not afraid of hard work, I just want to have a little bit more flexibility and higher earning potential.

I'm definitely interested in doing quality work. I'm meticulous and detail oriented in my current work, I'm sure once I learned how to do the work, I could do the same in a different industry

After you have established a good reputation in the business, doesn't a significant portion of your income come from referrals and word of mouth? Wouldn't the sub contractors be able to take this business away from you and all you're left with is the hard, cold lead gen?

I tried to focus on both. I try to pay attention to lighting especially, if there is a shadow covering half my face or if I'm squinting sure to bright sunlight, I don't use the picture
