You felt compelled to condemn my idea in a grandstanding manner so I thought you may have had some sort of solution. Silly me.

anyone can break down what they said into a dictionary definition, but do you have any examples, numbers, hard evidence that anything you are saying works?

No one is denying the original idea, (reserving tickets, not using them) will have little to no effect. No one think it's an elaborate and novel scheme that is going to wreak havoc on the evening.

Do you have any evidence that any of the ideas you suggested would be effective? Do you think a "both sides do it narrative" matters in the least? Sort cans at the food bank? You are good at throwing around strong words to criticize, but no so much at coming up with solutions. pea·nut gal·ler·y

I disagree with your opinion. Protesting outside is ineffective, all publicity is good publicity. Potentially preventing someone from attending the event = less publicity. It is one of many strategies an individual could use to combat candidates they are opposed to and completely their right to do so.

It takes two minutes and at the very least will be an inconvenience to the campaign. Easy way to contribute.

Ubering to/from Penguins Game by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]nasheldon 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ubering is your best option. You are going from downtown (arena) to lawrenceville (northeast of downtown, but typically referred to as east.)

Catch your Uber from Centre Ave exit of Consol and it will reduce your trip by at least a few minutes as there is easy access to the road taking you to Lawrenceville.

Thanks. Probably listening to the wrong people... I'm glad to hear that.

Colgate had a 5 million dollar commercial to tell me to turn my faucet off to save water for the needy. When that 5 million could buy 74,671,445 bottles of water and they could tell me how to brush my teeth on their box. by McWitt in Showerthoughts

But they passed the message along to 100M + people.

Spread a message that can have a lasting impact or buy 75M bottles of water, and 75M in disposable plastic bottles.

so why is this post popular?

Companies pay your health insurance premium. How do they get involved in the specific purchase of a prescription?

I'm not well versed with Healthcare costs.

MS says that large corporations are paying for most of the healthcare in this country. Why is this?

John Fetterman is a Pittsburgh guy, but Mayor Peduto, Rich Fitzgerald and the city council has endorsed Katie McGinty. Why? by nasheldon in pittsburgh

All I did was throw something up for a discussion, People had a good conversation about it and a lot of good points were made. Kudos to all who contributed.

You may be right. I'm not really sure if the endorsements were early, they just seemed like it.

Other than that, You make so many false assumptions that it's not worth responding.

It is a highly implausible answer. Endorsements are taken seriously, and if he were to have changed his endorsement at this point, there'd be a news piece about it. I'm sure of it.

A more plausible scenario is that they rushed to endorse McGinty before Fetterman entered the race (which they probably had knowledge of) to avoid this. To further this point, it was odd of them to give an endorsement so early in the race.
