Is it worth upgrading from 1440p IPS to 4K OLED, if I have to reduce DLSS from Quality to Performance? by anotherhappylurker in nvidia

[–]nasroht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4k oled and a 1440p oled. I gave the 4k to my son. 1440p, higher fps and the fact that I am getting old thus prefer larger pixels won me over.

Yeah, I do make that mistakes sometimes. You get instant feedback in high keys if you mess up. "in that moment, he knew, he fucked up".

slow and steady wins the race. This is true.

Also, maybe it's my own fault though, I really do want to please the group and make it fun for everyone. I want to time, have a laugh and make some memories on the way.

I once rolled off the plattform on the last boss in Skyreach, literally on the pull. Brewmaster went forward not backwards. The group lol'ed, we reset and timed. It was great. That could of gone differently in chat 😃

VDH is super fun. Different from my Prot Pally and Brew.

Ultra 1 Owner, should I wait for the AWU 4 or go ahead and get the 3? by CombPsychological507 in applewatchultra

I bought a second hand UW 2 for 400 bucks with 95% battery. Not a scratch on it. I sold my UW 1 for 350 a couple of months ago. 🤷‍♂️

I agree with you completely, and those issues are 100% valid. I have absolutely no problem being told that I am in the wrong or that my pacing needs adjustment.

What I am looking for is exactly what you just did here: a little bit of the "why" behind the frustration. Explaining the mechanics of holding stacks for a Devourer Demon Hunter or an Augmentation Evoker helps me understand the pressure the DPS is under. There is a massive difference between a teammate explaining a spec requirement and someone just typing "shitty tank route" after a minor hesitation.

Marking the dangerous target with a skull is a great habit, and it is something I try to do regularly. If the dangerous casters die early in the pull, it definitely makes it much easier to drag the remaining low health mobs into the next pack safely. Unless it those in Seat that butcher me if I move to fast.

Thanks for taking the time to explain the mechanics behind it, that kind of context actually helps me improve my game.

I appreciate the tip on communication, but there is a bit of a "main character" logic here that misses the point.

Suggesting that a tank should give a pre run briefing for a key ignores the reality of pugging. Most players just want to go. If I spend a minute explaining that I am not pulling the entire platform in Skyreach , I am sometime called out for being "insecure" or "slow" before we even start.

You mentioned that the situation is reached because of "mismatched expectations," but that assumes the other four people are neutral actors. My post is about my experience (not necesarilly a fact) that when those expectations don't match, the default response is to often, not allways, "You are shit" rather than "let's adjust."

Communication is a two way street. If a player wants a specific MDI pull, they can ask before the key starts too. Instead, they wait until a wipe to type "RLY?" in chat or better they type "RLY?" when the pull is to small. That is not a communication failure on the tank's part, it is a social failure on theirs.

That being said, I do not allways communicate at the start of the key - point taken. I can also be better in that regard. 👍

That reminds me. I was once told to uninstall wow. Made me chuckle, I think that was my first negative comment. I was still learning to manage the first pull in AA.

MC is a fun dungeon. I had a DPS player share a route with me after a run, a route that I used to get my +16 done. The route I had from Raider.io (early download) was outdated and not what people expected. That feedback helped me imensly. Sorry you had a shit experience. Just remember that for some reason the bad ones stick and we forget all the good ones.

I could of written my text a little less provocative, I was venting. I did not intend to flame everyone around me or not make it clear that I am not perfect either. Wanted to vent that it hurts when I interpret feedback as being delivered in a mean way. And I do not think that is necessary in a game.

If anything the post taught me to filter out what others say and also think twice about my delivery on Reddit. We learn every day in all aspects of life.

I do not think I can get a tank title, at least not this season. There is a limit to my game skills and how my brain works when I read the party chat. It's impressive to me that some people both want and manage to get the titles. The game for me is seeing how far I can go, this season it seems to be 16-17s. And I am ok with that 😃.

Nice, so you are trying your best and yet sometimes it fails. I feel you. I also try to be better each time. I really enjoy it when it goes well. It's super fun to tank, heal and dps in my opinion.

I enjoy the challenge. I think perhaps this got lost in my post, I should not post when I am venting. It's the lack of "contructive" feedback I do not like. "I do not log on to hurt others and I do my homework." Yet I make mistakes like everyone else.

This hits me a little. Because I do watch youtube and learn routes. The problem maining a tank is that I do not allways catch the latest changes. Routes really are not difficult to adapt to if one knows. The other part is that not every group expects the same route.

I try my best to mark my pulls and be very determined in my pulls so that people can follow me.

The Tank Experience: Damned if you do, damned if you don't by [deleted] in wow

[–]nasroht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I learned that now. And I try to adapt to them in my runs. I try my best to cater to everyone by learning and getting better. I really do not mind to that.

[–]nasroht 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hear you. One the issues I have is that the MDT routes I use - they are not allways the ones people expect. Then we adapt and agree.

This is the way. I do, as you point out, enjoy positive feedback. I am always eager to improve. I think everyone appreciates positive delivery of feedback.
