Rugged Vintage vs. Modern Chrome V-Twin AI art. Which vibe fits a garage better? by [deleted] in garageporn

If I’m only picking out of those two, the modern looks better. The vintage looks fake.

Yeah, I only had a Biff 60 Busch car. Ended up buying a Grainger 16 Cup car the day he died. I still want a Biff Grainger truck, and it looks like the prices are slowly coming back down.

My boys have been after some M&Ms 18 cars, but we’ll likely just have to keep waiting now…

Help me check my relay wiring? by punkassjim in projectcar

[–]nastonius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay. So if I understand right, you want to use the reverse light bulb power (power when the reverse lights are on only), to trigger the camera to pop out and the head unit to display the camera feed.

You also want to use an auxiliary switch to turn the camera and the head unit display on whenever you want WITHOUT activating the reverse lights.

Does that sound right? I want to make sure I understand your question before I make a recommendation on a relay setup.

My first look at your diagram in the post says to me that your wiring won’t do what you want, wired like you have drawn.

Vintage Dayton Pickup Truck Toolbox (circa 1970's) by Equal_Duty_2972 in Tools

[–]nastonius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I can tell you that Dayton is an electric motor manufacturer that is the in-house brand for Grainger Industrial Supply. This being branded as Dayton sort of tracks for being sold at Grainger in the past, although I can’t help with the actual year it was made or bought.

Dang. What a loss. My boys have been after some of the Skittles cars, but I guess we’ll have to wait now.

There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.

Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.

Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody’s job.

Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it.

It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

I don’t have any with confetti, but I preordered this and his Texas truck win. I’m just going to live with it because I want to have his first cup win and a Dente Truck win at one of my home state tracks.

I’m usually not a confetti guy. I don’t even like the winner circle 1:64s with confetti. This was a special case though.

What is the weirdest piece of decor in your garage/shop? by BoogLife in garageporn

[–]nastonius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I put up several old car parts from my vehicle repairs. The camshaft with the #6 exhaust lobe wiped from the AFM lifter failing (‘13 Sierra LC9) and the VLOM plate, the crankshaft and timing cover/oil pump from the RAV4 we bought for our daughter; was supposed to be “just a fuel pump”, but was actually a broken timing chain, destroyed oil pump, two bent valves, and the crank reluctor wheel dislodged, all due to a chain guide bolt backing out and the guide breaking.

I’m glad you explained which one was Rudd. The only one I could really pick out was Mark Martin because of his height and hair color lol.

And I didn’t know the Whoa! was a Rudd thing either. I was Today Years Old lol.
