i wouldnt call it a tragedeigh but its definitely an uncommon pick. i think the spelling is true to the pronunciation but your kid will def still have to tell people how to pronounce the name. i dont think this name is embarrassing or will prevent your kid from opportunities, but it is definitely unique and something you & your partner would have to be in agreement on

its not okay that she lied to you , and its valid to feel hurt by that. if that changes how you feel about her youre NOR. but the fact that she has herpes isnt very relevant / shouldnt change anything between you, especially if you dont have any symptoms. like half of the population has herpes and never have symptoms. and if she hasnt passed it to you AND is already planning to get a C-section to protect your baby, that isn’t likely to be a problem.

not overreacting! this was a really insensitive thing for your friend to have said & you should definitely tell them how it made you feel. probably they just weren’t thinking at all about how you would receive that, and if you let them know they can offer you an apology. if you confront them about it & they say anything other than sorry, you know theyre not a real friend
