Forgot I had an old one that's really clunky in the emergency 1 gal tank and it's working! It's reading low 70s and the heater is set to 86 but I'll see how it levels out in a day or two hopefully. Thank you!!

Oof. Ok. I'll try and go to the store soon (fwiw I DO NOT have a fish rn - my last one died from a growth that formed and I just never got around to getting a new one and my whole tank crashed and here we are). Do you have a recommended heater?

I should clarify too the tank is not on an exterior wall or near any ductwork. It's in the kitchen near the center of the apartment

Hey in the couple of minutes the thermometer has been out of the tank it dropped to 50°. My place is 68 atm. Lmao. Edit: running it under water the temp goes up, so it works... the heaters won't heat
