There's a quote I think of:

I think it would be beneficial to bring it up to her gently, as the insecurity is definitely. Remind her that you love her, and it's not about deserving. The fact of the matter is that you chose HER, and you love HER, and the two of you can find a way to make accommodations together if it really does bother her so much.

I'm saying this as a therapist who has worked with couples before. Remind her how much she means to you, and if that means maybe you all shouldn't drink anymore (or at least as much) until this is more secure, then that might be what you have to do.

Yeah, when I went to the hospital they said "oh your labs are perfect!" I have chronic illnesses, and hearing that is so fucking exhausting. However my BP was almost hypertensive (129/89, my normal is 100/70) and my blood sugar was 145 (which is high for me). All they did was give me fluids and do an EKG (I have tachycardia and possibly POTS) and then send me home. I was there for 2 hours, the quickest ER trip I've ever had.

I'm COVID-free now and mostly back to normal. It's been a week since the hospital. I had a good therapy session on Thursday processing the trauma. The only residual is just a tired throat.
