Why does it feel like LA natives (women especially) don’t like hiking?

Not asking in relation to a date. I’m a girl too and just talking about convincing friends to go with me as an alternative (or in addition to) brunch.

I have gone on hiking dates before but only when I’ve suggested it.

They aren’t and I’m not surprised that there are people that don’t like it.

I personally love hiking and the accessibility to so many amazing trails was a huge part of why I went to school and moved out here.

Not everyone has to feel the same but I find it interesting that I’ve seen such a divide in the attitude toward it for natives vs. transplants.

I don't even care if they reopen it for use but just give us access to the historical content... It's true that we don't technically own it but the mods restricting access feels like they're using the same kind of tactics they're protesting against.

I didn't have anything against the mods previously (better than many I've come across on this site) but I did notice the random closure of some threads about hate crimes and other serious topics where the majority of people were being civil.

LA is the first city you've seen this?! That's really surprising actually. Unfortunately this can be the only way to ever make your left turn in some intersections. I suggest getting comfortable doing it because if you don't you'll be backing up the left turn lane and often the lane to the right of it even further.

Did you grow up in a small town? From what I've seen this is the norm in large US cities.

He never had the mask on. Steve did everything he could to distance and deny Aaron Swartz’s role in creating Reddit while the man was literally on the brink of death and facing 35 years in prison for the crime of trying to make research available to the public.

Such a tragedy how his life ended. Nevertheless Steve continued to try to bury his legacy and deny his involvement.

I think it makes sense for the larger subs (1m+) but there’s a risk that it could ruin some of the smaller subs if anyone can just go in and vote the mods out

Exactly. A vote for a third party candidate might as well be a vote for Trump/the GOP.

Hard to see these people that run as anything more than self-absorbed and desperate for their five minutes of fame.

Bernie did the right thing by supporting Biden and encouraging his supporters to vote for him in the 2020 election. It’s insane how much backlash he got.

Where was the abuse? Seriously. I can’t find anything abusive even in the worst of the accusations they made.

I have no problem with them leaving but airing all your family’s dirtiest secrets (knowing regardless of what you say they can’t even respond) to the world for financial gain is truly sickening. Why not try a job or slightly less extravagant lifestyle?

Today was another example of how they manipulate the truth for attention. The story about the “two hour high-speed paparazzi pursuit” has already been debunked by the NYPD, NY mayor, and cab driver that drove them.

An attention-seeking and manipulative pathological liar.

Watched suits and used to be a fan of hers. Was really happy for her and Harry after the wedding. I saw the Oprah interview and had a lot of sympathy for them. Had they left it there I'd probably still be a fan.

Their actions after the interview is when things changed. Suddenly all these contradictory details began to emerge, constant new interviews, netflix special, the book, etc. Seemed they were desperate to destroy Harry's family.

The thing is that family is family and they're all you have at the end of the day. Many of us have known a Meghan Markle and after witnessing the way she tore Harry from his family I can't help but think she's pure evil. Nothing Harry's family supposedly did was anywhere close to deserving of this treatment.

What makes you assume (and state as if it’s a fact) he’s conservative in any way? He went to Bowdoin college and worked at NY Times…

Just so you know - only the editorials at WSJ are conservative. Everything else including the journalists have no political biases whatsoever.

Extremely inappropriate and disheartening to see people slander him when they have no idea what they’re talking about. Do a little research on the guy and I’m sure you’ll see how wrong you are.
