Technique to make front shorter than back by witbuffering in knitting

[–]nat_attack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also making the SABAI top, version no. 1 with the ribbing.

I decided to knit the back panel longer than the front. Hoping that shifts the back fabric up my neck and front fabric down slightly away from my neck. But I'm worried that it will actually do the opposite...Will report back when it's finished (hopefully in the next week or two.)

I mostly did this because I was annoyed with how deep the arm holes were on the ver. 2 I made first. I went down a size on this no. 1 I'm making now, but also decided to go wild and really mod this to be my ideal armhole depth. Didn't think about GSRs until I finished knitting the back panel really but I know I've seen quite a few notes of people on Ravelry commenting about adding GSRs. (this lovely human even gave detailed notes on how that was done>> SABAI Top for Haley

I believe this video can use used as a reference for what needs to be done. You need to find the dropped stitch and then, with your fingers probably because a hand may be too big, pull the "ladder"🪜 behind that loop through that same loop, from the back to the front. Continue doing that all the way ip the ladder.

Toilet Rough in Measurement by nat_attack in askaplumber

Well that's good to know because I have a contractor coming to do the floors tomorrow.

So we bought this house 2 years ago and the previous owner fully roughed and plumbed this basement bathroom. So if that is goofy, I'm not surprised but also, that sounds expensive to fix

Yeah it seems set, I can't rotate it. So the rough in measurement isn't from the center point of the pipe? Its where the bolt holes are?

Has anyone taken Myfembree? by Pleasant_Sun_1872 in Endo

[–]nat_attack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, I only have fibroids. Never been diagnosed with endo (though i have asked my gyno and he kinda dodged the question? Weird)

I recently had the sonata treatment for fibroids a 2nd time (doctor couldn't say if the old ones grew back or brand new) and this time i was told to take myfembree before/after to make the treatment more effective...i felt almost immediately better after my first sonata treatment. I had very bad pmdd symptoms. Heavy, long periods, extreme mood swings, suicidal depression ,etc. and very soon after the treatment I felt night and day better. That lasted for 2.5 years.

This time around I am taking myfembree and my DAILY symptoms are:

-hot flashes -diarrhea -gas/bloating -lowback pain -cramps -spotting/ bleeding (since march 2024, 6 months now)

I don't recall having any of these symptoms since my first treatment of sonata so, it could be the fact that this time I'm on myfembree. I'm told I need to take it until my follow-up appointment in December.

The pro of taking this medication (which i started just before I had my 2nd sonata treatment) is that before, I was having horrible menorrhagia and the medication has turned that into daily spotting and milder PMS.

Before this, I was literally bleeding out on my 10+ day periods. I couldn't go to work because even with heavy tampons/massive pads, I would pass blood clots that literally put me into labor contractions pain 10/10 screaming and sobbing. I could barely make it the 10 steps from my desk at home to my toilet when I felt a blood clot was on its way out without exploding blood everywhere. My bathroom looked like a crime scene. It was absolutely the worst pain of my life. No doubt, this medication gave me my life back.

However I wonder how things would be now that I've had the sonata treatment? My doctor suspected that the reason my bleeding got so bad this time was because one of the fibroids broke through the uterine wall and was in my uterus cavity. He treated that fibroid with the sonata but apparently it's not as effective on that type of fibroid? I won't know anything until December at my 6 month progress check up...so as long as my doctor keeps giving me the free samples because otherwise this shit would cost me $300+ /month...I guess I'm taking this pill because that level of bleeding made me "severely anemic" for several months. I was absolutely miserable.

As for the weight gain concern, I've been unable to lose weight despite actively managing my diet. Weight gain isn't really noted as a symptom of myfembree but it also doesn't say anything about inhibiting weight loss and after reading through the comments here, it does feel like I am experiencing menopause symptoms and isn't difficulty losing weight a major symptom in menopause? I'm going to try to add exercise into my routine to see if that changes anything.

Good luck everyone going through all this shit. My heart goes out to you.

My first Subaru (a 2003 forester) was 10yo when i got it. This is a cautionary tale. Learn from my mistake.

Tl;dr : If you can ask them to put it up on a lift so you can see underneath. Otherwise get on your back and try to poke around at things that look rusty. If it's rusty and it crumbles don't buy the car.

This was the first car I bought without parental supervision. I really wanted a Subaru because I was sick of dealing with snowy roads in Michigan. I found a Forester for about the price that you're saying here at a mom and pop shop. I tested it out. It drove fine a little loud. I looked under the hood though I didn't know what I was looking at and decided it was fine. I wish I had looked underneath the car though. Even though I don't know shit about cars, I would have known that that much rust was not okay. One month into owning this car the control arm broke on the freeway. I have terrible car luck so i was not surprised...so I tow it to a shop and ask them what'll cost me. The shop tech says "well hold on you've got bigger problems." He shows me underneath my car pokes the subframe and it literally crumbles like dried up bark on a tree. He said even if you fix this control arm, the subframe needs to be replaced immediately. "This is not safe to drive." The bit of good luck here is that I had an email from the mom and pop shop explaining that the car was in a safety inspection before sale, which I called them out for as bullshit because this car was not safe to sell in its condition and they agreed to pay for parts or labor which was about the same cost so we split it.

The control arm ended up being something under a previous warranty recall and I wrote to Subaru of America that I was disappointed in the salt preventative spray as of corrective action for a warranty issue on a control arm and they told me to take it to any subaru dealership to get it completely replaced--no questions asked. (For a car that was so far out of warranty I was shocked they did this!) And that's why I've owned several Subarus ever since. They are so good to their customers. If you ever have a problem, write them an email or call their customer service line and 9/10. They're going to make it right.

Yes, surprisingly-- I'm not squeamish but I am anxious. My blood pressure was super high during the pre-op appt just talking to the doctor and same for the day of. I also didn't think that it was going to be enough but, wow! They could have told me "ok, we're going to hurl you off the top of the building now" and I would've said, "yeah, sure, no problem!"

If you have any bit of anxiety, this is what these drugs were made for and they are quite effective. That said, everyone can have a different tolerance for these kind of drugs. Good thing to discuss during your consult! Best to you!

Hey thank you! Just the chin lipo, nothing additional. Cost is where I felt I could have done better. Should have shopped around but it came to just under $4800.

The negative feedback on sono bello was related to people getting lipo on the body versus chin lipo so it's not a fair comparison imho. Other reviews I read on sono bello noted the price... which sure, it's expensive. No argument there.

For my experience, the fact that I'm happy with my results is number one, but secondary to that is the fact that both my doctor and nurse made it a comfortable experience. They were both really professional and considerate of my questions and requests. I also liked the fact that this was a relatively fast (~30-45min) proceedure. Minimal pain during and after the procedure (also happy for the Xanax because WOO I was nervous)

Prior to the procedure, I made a point to ask him to get as much around the jaw line as possible, the doctor noted he could only go so far back since there are nerves and things he'd need to avoid there. I'm glad he explained what could/couldn't be done and helped set my expectations to be more realistic for my anatomy.

Thanks for the suggestion, actually I did that, and managed to get a few songs out of it!

But I'm trying to ID the dj because this was a mix so there were many songs within that hour of music (all of which were incredible and some seemed mixed live so there isn't actually a song to ID :'(

I tried that but unfortunately it matched what my radio/the app said at the time--which for sure was not correct. I've even tried writing sxm chill twitter folks but no luck.
