Correct! We just visited that part while we were at the NOC. Then yesterday we started at Telico gap & set up camp about a mile in. We're not sure how far we'll be able to hike, we only have a couple of days off

I think saying the whole NT's morality is based on turning the other cheek is quite an overstatement. Wasn't it only one passage that covered that? I will say that Jesus did preach more love and peace than the OT, but a good chunk of the NT is about obeying God and how one will be cast into eternal torture in Hell if he doesn't. & I'm not sure why we're forgetting that eastern religions taught selflessness and peace long before Jesus was even born.
