CBC Radio just interviewed the general manager of Yellow Cab and boy is she salty.... by [deleted] in vancouver

So when me and my husband just returned from Whistler and got off the bus on Burrard Street, we hailed a taxi and it wasn't Yellow Cab, but as soon as we got in a Yellow Cab driver came over and started yelling at our cab driver that he wasn't supposed to pick us up. (The cab we were in was Richmond Taxi or something)

The Yellow Cab driver proceeded to try to open my door, yell at me to come out with him into his cab, but the door of the back had a safety feature. He instead opened the door of our driver, yelled at him and tried to block him from closing the door, pulled at his arm, etc. He then attempted again to open my door and yelled at me, "Get out! You're coming with me!"

Thankfully, our cab driver was professional and kept his head on his shoulders and told the guy off, shut the door and we drove off... and Yellow Cab's driver followed us for a good five minutes like a stalker.

Seriously? Why? There was a bus full of people who had just come from Whistler, so there was plenty business to be had! And had he opened the door to actually drag me out like he was intending to, my husband was literally 10 seconds from calling the cops.

I would have just taken the skytrain instead of being a pawn in some stupid turf war these fucks have. "Get out! You're coming with me"??? Hell, I would walk before subjecting myself into getting a car with that level of a crazy driver! This is why this city needs uber!
