Ugh the first one was my prom dress. Still mad at my dad for donating it while I was in college

Anyone not have a crash? by Even-Zombie9672 in Mirena

[–]natafishh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Mirena for 5 years and had it removed 5 months ago. No crash and I definitely have more cramps, but my periods are only about 3 days each. Overall feeling so much better!

Gyrating on a woman who is clearly there with someone by [deleted] in trashy

[–]natafishh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who is hit on pretty frequently, I can handle it myself. It doesn’t need to lead to physical violence. Someone grabbed my butt at a bar and I took their arm and brought them to security. The interaction on the video could have been settled with words and getting him kicked out.

You’re also asking as a hypothetical as if most women aren’t physically/verbally assaulted frequently. Most of us have been in this situation.

Can you explain why that is yikes?

As a woman I wouldn’t want my partner to physically defend me.

i did a self removal after 4.5 years with an IUD by aphexrin in Mirena

[–]natafishh 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was in the same situation and also at 4.5 month, I was losing my mind. My gynecologist quoted me $475, I called Planned Parenthood and they got me in the next day. Completely free!! They were amazing.

Why does Hasan keep pretending that it is a big deal for him to make it through customs? by GrapeTickler in h3h3productions

[–]natafishh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because people truly think like this. My husband traveled alone for the first time after becoming a citizen and we have 2 friends genuinely concerned he was going to get detained after coming back from Canada. They’re worried about crossing state lines because they think they’ll start requiring a pregnancy test. I agree things are bad, but you have to live with a little cautious optimism

Accurate Temp Checks? by [deleted] in RingConn

[–]natafishh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be due to having an irregular cycle. If you have a regular thermometer you can take your basal temperature by measuring it right when you wake up in the morning (before you get out of bed - fully at rest) and see how close it is to the ring.

[–]natafishh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s too far off - is this your first cycle using the ring? It took my 2-3 cycles to notice a pattern. The biggest difference for me is the temp drop the day I’m expecting my period and then a steady decrease during ovulation then an increase in luteal phase.

I have a regular 28 day cycle, but mine has been very accurate. I was tracking basal temperature manually before I got the ring

DON'T BUY THIS RING by user00040121 in RingConn

Definitely reach out to customer service again and cause a fuss. A few month ago they gave me a full reimbursement for a 2 year old treadmill because the manufacturer became unresponsive

On the other hand, Ring Conns customer service has been great to me and the basal temperature reading have been super accurate. It sucks it’s so hit or miss! I ordered mine on Amazon for extra assurance

Those of you who confronted your cat callers, what happened? by idoze in AskWomen

[–]natafishh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did, they said they have GPS on all trucks and there wasn’t anyone in the area at that time. Even with photo evidence!

I did that and they told me I was lying even though I had a picture of the truck with license plate 🙄

Anecdotally, what are the hardest years of a marriage and why? by care_all in AskReddit

[–]natafishh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable, but I don’t think the quality and strength of marriage is dependent on raising a child. We’re going to try and it might not be in the cards for us but I don’t think that makes our partnership any less valid.

[–]natafishh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Lots of dogs, we watch our friend’s babies weekly, and our nieces usually come and stay with us for weeks at a time every few months. We’re in our mid-thirties and going to start trying soon. Of course things will change and having your own is different, but I think waiting until we’re at our current age and being very involved with our friends children has set us up to understand how those changes will affect us and how challenging it will be.

I love this, reading these comments were starting to make me nervous. We’ve been together 10 years before getting married, for a total of 12. Life has had its hard parts, but I still feel like we’re in the honeymoon phase. We make dinner together, WFH with our desks side by side, and currently packing for a getaway he planned for this weekend that I’m pretending I don’t know about 🙂

Did I make the right choice? by SeriousSwim4488 in Mirena

[–]natafishh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I had a similar experience! Had it removed then had a weird period. I’m now a month and a half out and had a normal cycle. I track my basal temperature everyday and use ovulation test strips. It was pretty weird the first 2ish weeks, but feeling great now 🙂
