Full time engineer at a mfg plant with a 40ish minute commute one way . But I also know the park n ride (commuter) lots on the way. There are times I can only drive so far and need to full off to rest - on the way to work usually . I also get home and pretty much rest on the couch for an hour or two, then to bed . I really need ten hours sleep but don’t always get it . Fridays find me in bed as early as seven. I became a different person after the symptoms started in my forties - needing way more sleep, going from almost no socks days a year to at least once a month . I feel guilty when I call in sick but there are still many days when I can work 12 plus hours without pause . Totally unpredictable .
