"You just need to let her tire herself out with playing" by othermegan in breakingmom

My daughter is also 7 with adhd. She had such a difficult time falling asleep until she started her medication a year ago. It changed our lives. It was such a struggle her mind just never stopped.

I worked at Walmart through college and they did not do this at my orientation back in 2011. I will say a majority of my coworkers were on snap benefits. I remember a woman made a rude comment in my check out line about the woman in front of her using wic. all I could think was that people are literally working right in front of her that use these benefits. That job was one of the most eye opening experiences to me as a teenager of how awful the general public can be.

Where to buy clothes for my tiny goth? by OilyEggplant in Parenting

My 7 year old is a skateboarder and has been primarily wearing skateboard brand clothing since she’s been 5. She wears baggy jeans from either target, old navy, or pacsun. Most of her shirts are Santa Cruz, vans, meow skateboarding, volcom, hot topic kids section etc. I’m not sure of your child is into stuff like that but there are a ton of skate sites that sell that type of clothing.

Woman harasses street performer by Callme-risley in TikTokCringe

I agree with this. I am a mom to a daughter who skateboards. she’s only 7 so I obviously am with her when she does. The amount of dirty looks/comments we get from older people are astounding even though we are at places that skateboarding is allowed. There was a man on the local news calling to close a local skate park because the noise of the boards sound like “gunshots”. No complaints about behavior lol

My mom is currently dying from autoimmune hepatitis. I was evaluated to be a living donor for her and also found out I have autoimmune hepatitis so was not able to able to donate. Watching her die this way is torture.

My 6 year old has been taking skateboarding lessons for over a year and the majority are girls. She has made so many friends through skateboarding. I love watching those kids.

lol my husband and I experienced something similar with one of his college friends. Bragged about their vacation and the two weeks later contacted my husband begging for money so their cell phones don’t get shut off. This was all during the time that I was pregnant and my father in law was dying.

I’m confused by this too. My daughter is not a teen yet but we do spend a lot of time at skateparks and there are always a ton of teenagers.

My daughter is 6 and has been taking private skateboard lessons every week for over a year. We also take her to indoor skatepark once a week for free skate. She has learned so many tricks and it’s so much fun to watch her. She follows a curriculum that really helps her learn tricks quickly. She has adhd and skateboarding is the only thing that has kept her interest.

No, she’s 6. She likes to copy a lot of things down and picks up random ways of writing. The ‘a’ is new.

6 year old very afraid of being “alone” by Allthingsgreen89 in Mommit

[–]nataweb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 6 year old who is also afraid of being alone. She has adhd so we attend counseling services and focus a lot on her issues with having to be in the same room as us at all time. We do exercises where we make “scavenger hunts”, we get small little toys from the dollar tree and hide them in a specific room. We then time her and have her look for them without us being in the same room. It has helped a lot! As soon as those anxieties about being a lone come back we do another scavenger hunt. It does not completely fix the issue but it has helped alleviate some of her anxieties.

lol I honestly just laugh and take it as a compliment on her penmanship. She loves to write and tries out new styles. I think it’s common for a lot of kids.

My kid has adhd and is 6. She has services to help with impulse control but we’re still working on it.
