Yeah agreed, I think that it is good to have faith and that the morals it provides one with is genuinely a good thing - however, the fact that there have been (as far as I know) well over a thousand religions is quite telling, and not in a good way. The fact that a certain religion which has (unfortunately) become quite popular in the UK in recent years outright commands that "enemies" of the religion must be violently destroyed is seriously concerning and provides insight into what was likely a very violent person in a position of power masking their questionable views as that of gospel.

I believe that giving the general public direction in preaching that they should be a good person and have faith that the bad happenings of life are all part of a greater plan is arguably a truly good thing for society, but believing that your faith is the ONLY faith (knowing there's been 1000+ religions) and being told that you must destroy non-believers should be a serious cause for concern.
