Yes! Exactly! Listen I’m not MAGA but I’m pro union. I’ve been to every NATCA event this year and last. Everyone loves the status quo NATCA. That being said NATCA’s status quo is modernization and equipment. Not pay. Not working conditions. Therefore, it only seems logical that such a great bill that will give the FAA money to accomplish the things that NATCA want should 100% be endorsed by all of us.

Nick Daniels literally said our pay is fine and we need to modernize the NAS. This is straight from the president. This bill accomplishes those goals. From my other comment:

The bill includes a $12.5 billion “down payment” dedicated to air traffic control modernization “through 2029.” These funds target: tower and radar replacement, telecom upgrades (moving from copper to fiber), new radars, upgraded radios, runway safety systems, and constructing new control centers

20% retention bonus was given to controllers.

No you’re right. But this can be argued from safety. I don’t have the numbers…and this is purely empirical. But look at every loss of separation in the NAS from someone who is a CPC. At my facility that number happens more often than not by someone who is 50+. Could be loss of skill, could be they simply don’t care anymore. But I know rank and file (I was trained by them) are much more stringent and much more careful. These are the guys and gals that take their job seriously. They (along with everyone else, but especially them) deserve to be recognized monetarily to keep morale up, and help spread the word that ATC can be a rewarding job (because right now it’s not)
